Small selection (by no means 100). Interesting because of the beers of Dorpsbrouwerij De Maar and the large collection of meads

The shop doesn’t have many different beers but they sell the beers of the brewery ’’Dorpsbrouwerij De Maar’’ http://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/dorpsbrouwerij-de-maar/10475/ and this store is one of the few places where you can buy it

Not 100 bottles of beer, at least not different ones

In the old center of Brunssum you’ll find this small and mostly to wine and liquor dedicated liquor store. The beer selection is really small and carries some of the more known Belgium and Dutch brands. So the beer is not the reason to bring this place a visit. But the thing which is so remarkable is that they carry a nice selection of approx. 25 to 30 meads. The female owner who helped me was in for a good chat and let me taste some of their meads. So the service is very good! The mead selection is good! But the beer selection is poor. If you are ever in the neighborhood looking for some meads, you should definitely bring this store a visit. Never seen any store in The Netherlands with such a decent mead selection. She even told me they were expanding their mead selection, so it might be even more with the next visit. Got some very nice Dutch meads (from the Delftse Mederij) and some from Germany, and Scandinavia. So overall, when looking for beer, skip this place! When looking for meads and in the surrounding neighborhood, make sure to bring this store a visit!

This is where I usually go to get my beers for the weekend. Not a huge selection or much rare beers, but has a decent selection. Bloke in there always has a chat with me about beers and asks for suggestions of things that he could order to get in the shop. Very helpful and good prices. Don’t go here wanting to find anything rare, go here to get a couple of beers just to enjoy.
