64 Located in the same alley as Au Bon Vieux Temps and across it. Looks more rustic in the old way with some restoration that seems to be a bit off-beat, less baroque. Limited beer selection of trappist beers and classic with Orval costing 6.50 euro. Clientel being all tourists and a mime artist. Worth hitting for the interior still. |
62 Pequeña cafería con una pequeña selección de cervezas, Acogedor Local, para disfrutar de una clásica cerveza belga. |
74 Decent little almost hidden place in a small alley. The selection wasn’t bad at all, and was probably pretty good given the size of the place, and the bartender was helpful. The live music wasn’t too loud. |
68 Visited with JFE 03.10.19. Nice place with good atmosphere and live music. Indoor smoking. Medium small selection of beers. In the city centre, |
70 Old school place at the center. Decent tap selection, but not too very ticky for hardcore raters. Flights offered! Prices are not too touristy. Cool vibe, decent service. Overall: worth a visit, if you want to visit a place with cool vibe. |
68 Small cozy place at the end of a narrow alleyway. Tucked away but charming. Worth for the atmosphere. Beers are typical belgian ones you can get at almost every other place aswell. |
84 I very much enjoyed it here. Nice selection nice atmosphere attentive staff that could answer questions. |
68 Yet another bar behind a narrow path with an old woody interior and nice old windows. Several taps and bottles, without having a spectacular selection. Efficient service, but you can have a chat if they have the time. Not a must, but if you can live with a not too cheap beer, you probably won’t regret it. |
76 A cozy little place is located at the end of a very narrow lane, a short walk away from Groote Markt. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even is their knowledge of beer may not be perfect. The selection is small, as is the place, and it includes some well-known but decent Belgians on tap and definitely more in bottles. nomfood but great atmosphere with live music. Okay prices. I will definitely come back again on my next visit to town. |
68 Another place down a small cobbled alley, and not easy to spot from the street. Like Au Bon Vieux Temps nearby, there is some nice stained glass and they have a radio playing (but not tuned to the Cliff Richard and his ilk channel). A L’Imaige de Nostre-Dame is much more earthy and basic – in former times for tradesman rather than knights perhaps. The main bar is plain and simple with a traditional stove and there’s a cosy cave-like nook with roughly plastered walls and an impressive built-in wooden armoire. The toilets are outside off a miniscule patio patrolled by the pub cat.
The beer list isn’t hugely exciting but the St Feuillien Saison on draft was excellent and the locals were friendly.
