Dark atmosphere, but very friendly staff. Food is great - meatloaf sandwich, steak sandwich, burgers, etc. All very good. The homemade french fries are exceptional. Beer selection is alright - a lot of macro stuff...Labatt, Molson, etc. A few smaller micros but nothing obscure - they seem to have 2 Great Lakes taps that they alternate (was Commodore Perry a month ago, but it was Burning River this past week), so I usually go with those. I haven’t really checked their bottled selection, but I can’t imagine it’s anything great - although they did have bottled Post Road Pumpkin Ale, which my girlfriend liked.

Good food. Meatloaf sandwich, steamers, casinos etc. Niceseafood. Beer selection? not so great. Red hook, IPA was about the best they had to offer. decent

Unless they have some secret beer list that they didn’t show me they’ve changed what they stock since Oakes was there. Bottles were typical Buffalo fare - Labatts and Molson.. Maybe some Michelob thrown in. There weren’t more than 10 taps the most interesting of which included Ellicottvlle and Flying Bison.

Come for the meatloaf sandwich, stay for the beer. The former is the signature dish, a big slab of meat and sauce that spills sloppily out of the bun. The kind of fun comfort food you go to a place like Buffalo for. Beerwise, I'd say half the taps are a waste of time, but they support the more interesting small breweries like Flying Bison and Southern Tier. Bottle range shows more imported flair, but nothing too out of the ordinary. One of those places where a good beer list is totally unexpected but you're damn happy to see it.
