Was in the area to get something for my flight home that night, and decided to stop in here to check out the famous BevMo!. The beer section was on the left side of the store. There were racks in the aisles with various sixpacks and cases. They had a massive selection of local brews, as well as a good selection of the nationally available ones. I would compare this to our local Total Wines, but I think this has a better selection. The prices were standard for the area. Man, how I wish NC liquor laws would allow us to have stores like this. On the far right of the store there was even a nice selection of glassware available. Cool store.

It’s good to have this place nearby, but it seems to be the lamest Bevmo in the LA area in terms of beer. They will order stiff in but I’d rather just drive across the valley or over the hill instead of waiting for stuff to arrive. I like browsing and selecting from a big bunch of bottles more than doing it on the website. 52, but I go all the time :-(

Used to work right by here, so I have done some business here, but can say with authority that I wouldn’t make a special trip. If on the East side, go to Stuffed Sandwich or Ramirez Kegs. If on the West, go to Bev Warehouse. If stuck centrally, go to the BevMo on Santa Monica and La Brea. If anywhere else, get to a Whole Foods and hope for the best.
