2013-04-28. Surprisingly busy on a Sunday night, we shared a small mushroom based pizza (Reunion?) but the special also sounded great. We were wishing we were hungrier since it was very good. Fairly traditional take on a pizza but done very very well. Beers the first night were quite good, we started with a couple of different IPAs. They were less good when we returned the next night. Service was good, we didn’t really test their beer knowledge. Worth a visit just for the pizza, the beer is bonus at that point!

The décor of the place I liked a lot. Really nice feel. Brick ovens, wooden tables and random beer paraphernalia hanging on the walls. The light were set low with candles lit at all tables. The setting is very much a place I would bring a date. Well, I wasn’t on a date so I sat at the bar. I can’t comment on the food since we didn’t eat. However, all the pizza looked and smelled awesome. Ok on to the brews. A wide variety of styles were covered. Dry stout, old ale, scotch ale, black IPA, dunkler bock, etc. Nine different in all. I sampled 6 of the 9 on draft. Nothing really stands out. Yet all the beers were above average. Pretty well made everything considered. Depends on your liking. For me if I’m choosing between this place and Vermont Pub, I would selective Vermont Pub. But they are both right across the street from each other so… you make the call.

When I made it to Burlington it was really rainy and I was getting tired fast so I decided to head down to American Flatbread, have a few beers, and get some flatbread to go. I had a devil of a time trying to find this place in the rain but I finally found it and scored a seat at the bar. Very nice space with tons of people milling around waiting for their tables to be ready. I got served quickly and my servers were nice and kept my glass full. Quality was very high all around. My beers were good and my flatbread was great and made with high quality ingredients. The selection was pretty good. Tons of different beers plus their IPA on cask with some extra hops added. Most tasted pretty good, I liked the stout best. I got a half and half flatbread to go, half New Vermont Sausage and half Dancing Heart. I loved the Sausage half, I could not stop eating it, the other half was good but I wish I would have went with one of the other toppings, like the pepperoni and peppers, as they smelled amazing. Overall a really nice place to stop and have some beers and a pie. I will definitely return next time I am in Burlington.

Stopped in for dinner and drinks during the Burlington Jazz festival. A large wooden interior and nice large bar that stayed surprisingly quiet despite how busy it was. Beers were surprisingly good with a number of guest taps and bottles. Food was good but not out of this world and the prices were fine.

This place is great. They only have about 5 or 6 taps available, but they are high quality and there is usually a cask selection! The ambiance is really nice and the food is tasty.

If you like pizza and beer this is a must stop in Burlington. Food is very good, service is reliable to very good (and friendly), and although they now only serve their own beer on tap its still all worth trying depending on your style preferences. And although my score is low (mostly because I rate beer selection on an overall basis compared to other places I have been) it is better then that...

This was the place my wife and I ended up having lunch at during our trip to Burlington. It was a short walk from where we parked on Bank St., right in the heart of Burlington. I absolutely love the vibe here; inside there’s a large bar area and plenty of seating but it was the little patio area where we enjoyed lunch and a few brews that did it for me. It’s got a cafe type cozy feel to it. It’s partially blocked by surrounding buildings but you can still get a little sunshine. The weather was very nice that day, which of course doesn’t hurt. I think they had a dozen or so beers on tap. I tried three of them; the Afternooner was terrific, the Kolsh very good, and the Belgian Pale just okay. They have something for everyone. Also, they have some ciders (my wife enjoyed a local cider) and some guest taps and bottles available. Everything on tap was available as a half glass (8 oz) for $3 or full (16 oz) for $5. The half option is absolutely brilliant and I wish more places would do this (although many do have flights or samplers). The flatbread pizza we had was delicious; these come in two sizes as well (note that the small is still pretty big). This was my favorite stop during our 2+ week vacation that took us to Burlington, Asheville, among other places.

Gorgeous local, and iside decor. Friendly staff, great live jazz. Had about 12 of their own beers on tap. What i had in beer was great. Didnt get a chance to try the food. But. Really lovely pace. I would go back in a heartbeat.
