Again, this is a fair distance outside the downtown area, but it is worthy of the drive. Two rows of coolers store an excellent array of beer from around the world. Good Belgian selection and a surprisingly well stocked Eastern European section. They typically have a full range of Gales Prize Old Ale and J.W. Lees Harvest Ale. Also, if you’re in to Scotch, the single malt selection may be the best in town.

Home away from home (live in Burnsvile). Such a large selection. Ask what you’re looking for, and you’ll have friendly service that gives yous plenty of suggestions. beer is not cheep in MN. our 9% sales tax does not help either. however, blue max’s tasty (and vast) selection does help mitigate forgone income. many specialty brews, both local, domestic, and foreign create a very decent selection. alas, if i only i could shop there every time that i was looking to pick up more beer for the fridge. drop by, it is definitely worth the trip to burnsville.

Massive selection and good service. I went here back in August but never submitted the review. The guy working was helpful. I saw a 6 pack of Goose Island Imp IPA but only wanted one. Old school liqor store feel, with an amazing selection of hard to find beers. Great to see so much stuff stored in coolers too. Very friendly staff. No one asked if I needed help, but then again, I didn’t really need any. Claims to have the best selection of beer in MN, and it wasn’t too shabby. Again, pretty much everything was in a series of coolers...and some good stuff to boot, especially if you’re looking for a strong European selection, including Lambics and the like. Picked up a few things like Dieu de Ciel PM, a couple 3 Fonteinens, a couple Jolly Pumpkins, and others...many, many to choose from. Prices seemed a bit on the steep side, but I’m typically wiling to pay an extra buck to get a nice selection (better than driving around paying for gas). One downer was the service...the girl at the register was very pleasant, but had 2 stockworkers just walk right past me, and one stopped to look at things right in front of me, without even saying a word...just puzzling! Excellent selection of quality brews. Well lit and most of the top shelf stuff was in the various coolers. These guys obviously know what they are doing. Reasonable prices and a good selection of WI micros. Absolutely fantastic, this is a must stop. |
