kegbelly (9), Alberta does not count - explanation | | June 5, 2011 I visited here last summer and it was fun, but the beer is subpar at best. | | rosenbergh (275), Helsinki, Finland | | August 5, 2010 Good shop, wide selection of t-shirts and other merchandise. All of their own beers (and ciders) for sale, most of them in cold. Busy restaurant. Quite distant location, hard to get without a car. Rather good brews. | Mmajere (2), Saskatchewan does not count - explanation | | May 5, 2009 great service, great saelection... i enjoy almost every beer they make. | | DuffMan (185), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | | January 20, 2009 Well, after living in Calgary all this time my buddy Rockley finally booked us a brewery tour! Very well done tour, I must say. Interesting history behind Ed McNalley and the brewery itself. Afterward as part of the deal, you get the usual sit-down tasting experience (with the freshest samples of Big Rock beers you’ll ever have) and then get to build your own 6-pack to take home with you. Really fun! Sheila McNalley (the founders daughter) was there and we chatted a lot at the end. When she found out it was my birthday coming up, she insisted on a pint of black & tan (McNalley’s Reserve stout + McNalley’s Irish Ale) and a gave me my choice of a free shirt from the store! Really great people who clearly love what they do. We had a little lunch in the adjacent restaurant afterward and found the food and service to be very good. (NOTE: "Selection" scores low only because they have nothing but Big Rock). | | presario (135), Stampede City, Alberta | | October 28, 2004 Not sure if I should rate the brewery or the restaurant attached. Very nice stop during the week with clients for lunch. Only have Big Rock on tap, go figure. |
