Camp hill location good friendly service good food lots of brews to try

Nice location on Market Street. Very clean. For a rather new brewpub though - it seemed rather bland. It lacked the character of their old factory Harrisburg location. Had a sampler - and boy do they do sampler’s well. Eight different beers at 6 oz each and a glass of their great rootbeer too - for $10. When I have to split my samplers with my wife- this is the place to do that. The sampler had strong offerings, average offerings - and one terrible seasonal brew -the Belgian Wit.

Outside has a bit of an Applebee’s/Ruby Tuesday feel but they have a nice long bar on the inside where you can also see the brewery. Not as good a tap selection as the Gettysburg or the Harrisburg locations but they did have some belgian bottles as well. I only had the pretzel logs but they did a good job of resetting my palate from the sampler. 8 beers sampler, 6 ounce pours, $10. I’d have to say that’s a bit of a bargain. In terms of their beer the heavier, hoppier stuff is much more interesting then their lagers and their wheat ales. Seems like a nice place to meet friends and enjoy some brews.

Went to this one after a horrendous Jehovah Witness dry wedding in Harrisburg desperately needing a good beer. Overall, the experience was a good one, but compared with the Gettysburg location, which I’ve also been to, the Gettysburg place is a lot better. The primary reason is beer selection. Camp Hill location carries their normal range of beers as well as one seasonal beer per month. I tried the Feb beer and found it so so. The Gettysburg location had many more random experimental beers which kicked ass. The food here wasn’t as good either, but then again it was also a Saturday night and busy. Ambiance of this location was better - pretty decent bar area. Service was good and prompt. Overall, definitely worth a stop in. I stayed in Mechanicsburg so this was the closest good beer place I saw.

This location was very comparable to the main location. Very good food and very good service. The beer selection was a little less though, they had mostly only their year round beers a sesional or two and two cask beers.

Pretty easy to find place, which is good. Concrete floors and a real bar feel to the place, which I kind of like. I was impressed that they had 14 different ABC beers on tap, of widely varying quality. I didn’t eat anything, so I’ve no opinion on food.

Located on Carlisle Pike, not far from Camp Hill or Mechanicsburg. Generous bar area with sufficient seating at the bar or tables surrounding the bar. Also, there’s a decent sized dining area. At least 10 taps, a few seasonals, along with the standards (IPA, pale ale, wheat, stout, etc.) Bartenders seem knowledgable, and will give a free sample of their various draughts. There’s a decent bottle selection, as well, mostly of the Belgian variety. Burger is OK, as is the pizza, just a touch pricey for what you get. Worth a stop.

Look and feel of the place isn’t much different than the other ABC spots. Brown bar, a couple of TVs, some brewania, but you can’t shake the whole artificial feeling, how this is really a restaurant that brews beer, I guess that’s how it ends up when your central PA crowd wants it like that. So, among the young professionals from area were a few flannel wearing farm-type locals as well, which is fun to see. But the place was entirely filled with cigarette smoke, I was gagging. It was only 6pm but the place was filled with nasty smoke. Beer selection is OK, but they didn’t have anything not available at the Harrisburg or Gettysburg locations. Early Feb 08 they had the imperial stout, smoked, and a couple of the Camp Hill fruit lambics. I probably won’t go back. The Harrisburg location is still smoking, but it’s not nearly as bad as it was here.

nice place, same good food as the other locations for the most part, has a good selection of their own beers, and a decent variety of belgiums, friendly and fast service, worth a stop.

Smaller version of the main establishment in downtown Harrisburg. Good food - good service - good beer. Nice place to hang out and relax after work.
