74 The best place I've found so far for craft beer can and bottles in Canberra. Singles and discounts on 4 and six packs. Plenty of variety, from Australia and elsewhere. Located in the Fyshwick market. Solid. |
82 Wine and beer store located in a shopping market just outside central Canberra. Really extensive and interesting beer selection, covering international and Australian craft beers, plus quite afew ciders. Some are expensive, but does a discount on 6 and 24 multiple purchases. A must visit when in the capital. |
92 One of the top two beer shops in the Capital and a bit of a Canberra institution. The selection of beers is outstanding and ever expanding, and the regular staff are real enthusiasts (Denis, Brett and Connor are always good for a recommendation). While the good gear they sell is not exactly cheap, they are still a bit cheaper than most of the better, serious beer stores operating online interstate. A wondrous establishment for any beer lover. |

88 Very good range of styles and origins. A few of the beers I’ve picked up have been off, but I guess that’s always a danger with the more unusual stuff. As a local, whenever the fridge is looking bare, it’s off to Plonk. |
88 Wouldn’t have thought the best bottle shop I’d visit in Australia would be in Canberra. Huge selection of Aussie, NZ, European, and US beers, arranged by country. Prices seemed about average for the country (read: high). Service was friendly and helpful. Dangerous place to come for your wallet. If you can make it during their opening hours, it’s definitely worth visiting. |
80 This place has an enormous range! One of the best bottle shops I’ve been too, huge range of both local and imported beers including some really interesting ones. Well worth a visit. |
70 There’s no doubt this place has a great range of beer, including many that just can’t be found anywhere else in Canberra. On the downside, it is a very small space which can be ridiculously crowded at times, and also means most of their range is displayed in single bottles only. Personally I prefer to buy 6 or 4 packs and these are few and far between here - presumably because of the space limitations. I reckon its time for Plonk to find some larger premises. |
86 Best bottle shop you’ll find in Canberra - widest selection of Australian and imported beers, and the best prices you’ll find too. 10% discount for any six, 20% for any mixed case (24). |
68 Nice store in the Fyshwick markets in Canberra
Huge range for Canberra. Europe, US, Canada, NZ, and Australia. Strong wine and spirits range also. A lot of hard to find Mikkeller and UK beers. A bit lacking in the US department and current Mikkeller offerings though.
3 Taps being offered for growler options?? Really?? I give. Counter pressure as well.
Small amount of fridge space for beers and most product on open air shelves. Not the most organized, as had to hunt around for a few minutes to find what I was looking for.
Service was a bit poor but will excuse them as they were packed on a Sunday and have had good service from them on previous trips and in phone conversations
Pricing was a bit high as most stuff was higher than Sydney prices are currently so would think the store suffers from a bit of stock not moving.
Hours of operation is not the best but not their fault. markets run from Thursday- Sunday.
Lack of a website and shipping options to Sydney hurt.
Ranking aside, this is one of the best 5 shops in NSW/ ACT. Just below Warners at the bay. Worth the trip in a big way. As long as on a weekend.
Good range and an obviously busy store for the area.
