Great place very near the station. Tiny, but a very good selection and reasonable prices. Helpful and friendly staff. I really didn’t need to buy something for the train, but couldn’t help myself!

I was swinging by to pick up some beers as I was driving across the channel anyway and Canterbury isn’t too far away from London. I placed a collective order with a couple of friends from Belgium, through e-mail. Everything was ready and awaiting us. As there was some confusion with which bottles they did or didn’t have, I gave my printed list to the clergy who checked everything off as me and my friends had lunch in the restaurant in the same building. Rating for the food is btw actually for the Good Shed restaurant, but since they seem to be cooperating, it seemed stupid to add another entry. The food was delicious by the way. Afterwards the clergy and me went through the whole list again, checking off every bottle. It was quite a bit of work, but then again, they were selling a lot of beers at once. ;-) An amazing selection, one of which we in Belgium are sometimes jealous, at least the people who like some American imports. Only reason I subtracted 2 points is because of the non availability of about 10% of the stuff I ordered, especially because I waited for their updated list only 5 days before ordering and had to gather orders from a couple of friends. Despite that, some bottles were sold out anyway. Friendly staff, just in general a good place. Maybe a bit expensive, yes. But then again, England in general is pretty expensive, so there you go. Will visit again next time I cross the channel with the car.

Best job I’ve ever had, and the customers are just lovely lovely people! Been at the forefront since opening, and not looked back once! Discounts for students on Tuesdays, Canterbury card holders on Wednesdays, and CAMRA (worldwide) on Thursdays. Kent University Real Ale and Cider Society sponsors, and as such, all members get daily discounts!

Located in a former goods-shed close to the Canterbury railway-station, this ´market-stall ´ offers an almost incredible selection of english quality beers - in aitumn 2011 for example 21 different "Kernels". Very friendly and knowledgeable service. Worth a journey, one of the best beers shops in the U.K.…

A really lovely project in a great building. Andrew is passionate about beer, exceptionally knowledgable and his recommendations are always top notch - he can select beer for mood as well as taste. Fantastic selection and the pork pies, when present, are excellent.

A truly remarkable place to visit! Been a regular since the very start. The ambiance is in my opinion excellent during the daytime it is a busy market place with the very best culinary delights of Kent. I have seen Cheese tasters and Beer tasters alike, sitting side by side both either enjoying cheese with their beer or beer with their cheese. Andy is very friendly and if you know vaguely what you like he will direct you to the most suitable beers for your palette. The selection is outstanding, I am yet to find anywhere that even comes close to the range of unheard of and unknown beers. The prices can be expensive but it is very easy to enjoy the sub £3.40 beers if you want to stretch your wallet. Most people have rated food as N/A but occasionally there are ranges of local cheeses/pork pies all of which are outstanding.

The best beer selection in Kent, and one of the best selections of certain beers (Kernel, Struise, Mikkeller) you’ll find anywhere. The bottle shop is housed in the Goods Shed, a kind of permanent farmers’ market close to the centre of Canterbury. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the owner will go out of his way to esure that you select a suitable beer from the possibly quite intimidating range. It is a regular stop for me whenever I am in Canterbury, and the constantly chaanging and evolving stock list will ensure that I keep coming back for a long time to come.

Fantastic selection of beers in a small stand in a very ambient shed with local produce. Owner is very knowledgeable and passionate, giving excellent advice and introducing new beers based on previous favourites. As a consequence, I now have 15 incredible beers from previously unknown breweries like Struise and The Kernel waiting for the right occasion. Unfortunately, the restaurant in the goods shed didn’t allow beers from the bottle shop to be drank however you can still enjoy beers on the premises. A must if you are in the area or passing by.
