Very few non-macros to be found here; no bombers, let alone singles. The only craft beer available is Great Lakes, which is otherwise prevalent enough in Canton to be at gas stations.

The selection here is not nearly as good as the ACME in North Canton, but it’s better than the surrounding gas stations and mini-marts. On the craft side you’ll always find some solid choices but the variety is limited. Once in a while you may come across a good find. They had a nice little Corsendonk Gift Pack with a bottle of the Pater and Agnus along with a tulip glass, it’s the rare occurances like these that convince me to check in from time to time.

If a grocery store with a similar selection were located in a larger city it would not really be worth mentioning. However, the Canton area of Ohio is not really known for beer (outside of Thirsty Dog, Winking Lizard, Phil’s and World Market.

This Acme is located on Whipple Ave, which is kind of a main road through the Belden area of Canton. Being a grocery store, parking is never a problem.

As for the beer selection, I was quite surprised to find Blimp City (out of business now), Great Lakes, Unibroue and Thirsty Dog all stocked, along with some Russian beer and BluCreek Blueberry. The kicker is the Unibroue 750mL bottles were priced at a mere $4.98 which is the cheapest I have seen them anywhere.

The downside is that being a grocery store, don’t expect too much in the way of beer knowledge.

In short, if you are visiting the Hall of Fame city for some reason, this grocery store may be worth a quick visit. Sadly, this Acme pales in comparison to the one in Fairlawn and Hudson.
