Leo’s doesn’t have a great beer selection compared to bottle shops up in Akron but he does have the best selection here in Canton. The thing that sets Leo’s apart is the man running it, JR. He is a cool guy and will do everything in his power to get whatever beer you request. He has come through for me many times with cases I have requested. The only time he fails is when the distributors do not do their part. I can’t, and don’t, hold that against him. He could get a lot more of the rare stuff with a bit more support from the locals to turn his inventory.

Just went to a beer tasting there last night. Some good stuff, Brother thelonious, Triple Karmelit and other craft beers. Leos is really trying to expand his beer selection, but he doesn’t know a lot about beer. The great thing about this place is that Leo will order and get whatever you want as long as he can get it. The bad thing is his selection sucks, but for Canton.......

When compared to your average local grocery store, above average. No that great. There are much better places to buy beer to the north in Akron. However, when in Canton, you could do a lot worse.

Only visited Leo a couple times and what a trip it has been both times. Primarily a wine shop, Leo has this monster walk in cooler where he keeps his beer. On one side is the good stuff and the other is the cheap domestic swill. Dress warm and spend a few minutes and you will likely find some gems, although the overall selection is decent at best. His prices are very good and you can’t beat seeing the smile on this old man’s face. Leo is a good dude and runs a great store

Leo’s is located just west of the Belden area of Canton, and very close to the Canton Winking Lizard. There is a very small front lot practically on top of Fulton Rd so parking could get tricky if they are busy.

Inside it is immediately apparent that Leo’s mostly caters to wine buyers. In the main part of the store there are only a few different singles from Stone, Unibroue etc. However, if you aren’t claustrophobic, pull the latch and enter the walk-in beer cooler, stumble across the cases of macros and turn the corner and you will be rewarded for your efforts. Buried back in the back of the cooler you will find a nice selection of GLBC (they had Blackout Stout), Anchor, Capital, Sam Adams seasonals, Sierra Nevada and more. They carry a couple of samplers too (GLBC, Capital).

The service here is very friendly and helpful. The gentleman working the day I visited asked if he could help me find anything and was happy to chat a bit about Blackout Stout. Overall this place is worth a stop if you find yourself in Canton.
