| Lubiere (349), Ottawa, Ontario | | April 29, 2012 A pretty decent place on route to Hunter for Tap NY. I was quite surprised with the selection, a good mix of local breweries, some harder to find US fares (Cigar City, Kuhnhenn, etc..) and some nice imports. The ways the beers are ordered on the shelving is a bit strange, neither by brewery or style, but still, fun to roam the selection. The y do offer a table with mix and match, 10.49$ for six 12 ounces. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. | | UDBeernut (53), Saugerties, New York | | April 28, 2012 Decent place for when I don’t feel like running down to half time. Most of the store is dedicated to BMC, 3 ailses to craft/import bombers and 6 packs. Do have a growler fill station. Good selection from the usual suspects. CHECK THE DATES. It usually takes some time to find a 6 pack that is not beyond its peak freshness. | | j12601 (214), Poughkeepsie, New York | | October 20, 2011 Big open feeling space with nice new shelving and good lighting. First thing I saw when entering though did not look promising – the mix your own six pack table. Nothing really good in there, mostly old summer beers from Harpoon, Long Trail, Saranac and the like. These were the only six-pack types of beer that were available by the single bottle, and the only ones you could mix and match. So that was somewhat disappointing. Decent overall selection, and probably very good for the area that they’re located in. Was a little disappointed that when I saw some 3 Fonteinen and then asked at the counter if they carried any Cantillon as well, neither of the employees had any clue what that was (I will say that they were very friendly and asked if I wanted them to try and see if they could get it). Growler fills available as well, but half of them were things like Blue Moon and Shock Top. I guess it’s there because it sells and is profitable for them, but it was still a bit of a surprise. So a couple of minor strikes against them, but for the area that this place is located, it’s probably a very welcome addition to the area. Probably worth a stop if you’re passing through. | Griffin94 (2), Saugerties, New York does not count - explanation | | August 19, 2011 Fantastic selection! I drive 20 miles out of the way to buy beer here. | shueyy (3), Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | April 24, 2011 I was taken back my their beer selection the owner said he has 1400 beers and he looks to add 10 new ones a week. They still have some room for more. Being from the Capital District and always going to Oliver’s for good craft beer this is much closer and better selection. The prices aren’t as good but with gas prices being what they are it’s a wash. I went in for a few beers left with 18 rare beers and a $200 bill oh well. I wish i had my growler as they had 12 taps of great beer. It’s just off the NYS Thruway maybe 10 minutes so if you are looking for rare beers from Italy or South Africa or Russian River Plinny the Elder stop by. | NoBeer4MyDog (1), West Camp, New York does not count - explanation | | March 20, 2011 Am I in heaven? Haven’t seen a well stocked store like this in the area. Great selection and well informed staff who are helpful. Nice selection on tap for the growlers! The only bad thing is that I end up spending way too much time and money here! | | coldbrewky (63), Saugerties, New York | | October 23, 2010 I’ve been eying this place up since the construction began and now they are open. Stopped in yesterday on the way to the shopping trip and was pleasantly surprised on the bright open store with a large check out counter. Cases in the center, coolers with 6’s and singles on the far wall. 12 taps for Growler fills! But the bottle selection is the best I’ve seen in the Hudson Valley area. Well worth a stop for those folks trucking on down from Canada. |
