ArchersTavern (1), Centerville, Ohio does not count - explanation | | July 31, 2011 Great selection of craft beer. And, recently added 6 taps with an impressive list of beers. It’s nice to drink a pint while you shop and the staff, Chef Jeff, Mel and John are extremely friendly and knowledgable. It’s my new favorite place to shop in Dayton for outstanding beer. Great sandwiches from the deli too! | | Bigmmartin (16), Dayton, Ohio | | May 16, 2010 [ Updated April 13, 2011 ] Update: I revisited this place for the first time in about year and was very impressed. They’ve added alot more beer, some nice glassware, and even a few taps. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Tastings every Saturday. The best thing though is it’s very clean, all the singles are refrigerated, and nothing seemed to be old or outdated. A very high quality stock of beer. Great place. Oh... and amazing food with deli selections and dinners.
I found this place when a friend told me about a beer tasting here. I had no idea that this place even sold beer. I was really surprised when I found out that they actually have a pretty damn good selection. It’s not the largest selection out there, but definitely high quality. Many great domestic micros and foreign brews. I’ve been here a few times and the service has been great. The first time , we actually showed up on the wrong day due to seeing the beer tasting announced on pre-recorded show. The lady working still hooked us up and we were able to taste a few beers anyways. I talked to the manager (I think) and he seemed very knowledgeable about beer and was willing to special order anything he might be able to get. He even took a few notes of some specific beers I mentioned. Great place to check out. | | Capa (172), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | August 11, 2008 Second best selection in Dayton. Plenty of US micros as well as a large international selection. The singles and bombers are stored in coolers for quick consumption. They did have some local/Ohio stuff but I would have liked them to carry more. Selection varies slightly from Belmont so I’ll be frequenting both, I assume. Worth a stop.
