| larsga (136), Oslo, Norway | | April 23, 2012 Nice upscale supermarket with an emphasis on delicacies. When I was there they had nine different types of Japanese oranges at the entrance. The beer selection is not big (100 bottles? no way), but much of it is interesting. I found some Japanese micros (Echigo) and macros, some obscure French micros, and more of the usual stuff. You’ll pass by near here at some point, so I would definitely drop by. | | DeanF (40), Iqaluit, Nunavut | | December 31, 2011 Not a bad place to try and find some odd imports in Hong Kong. They even had a selection of French microbrews, things I hadn’t seen since my Paris days! It’s a modest selection though and certainly would only take an afternoon for a ratebeerian to run through ’em all. Worth a stop if you’re beer hunting in good ol’ HKG. | | Beershine (540), The Sunshine State, Florida | | January 15, 2010 Hong Kong’s go-to store for good beers. Small but decent selection. Overall a great supermarket, international caliber with high quality goods. Not necessarily overpriced depending on what you buy. The international selection of beers is maybe skewed toward Belgian, with some mediocre-level Japanese thrown in. I think the other location is better for beer but it’s worth checking them both out. |
