imissmy64oz (3), Tempe, Arizona does not count - explanation | | November 25, 2009 Evening manager very arrogant. Asked if they had a cold 24 pack of Heineken and the ’manager’ said he doesn’t have room in his coolers for that in a very condescending manner but there is a bunch of shit piled up sky high in the cooler. Asked for 2 cold 12 packs at the 24 pack price (a savings of 5 dollars) and was talked down to by the same ’manager. Place is gigantic but selection is weak. Decent deals on hard liquor and bulk mass produced beers but anything remotely rare is expensive | | SuperDave70 (14), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona | | September 9, 2008 As with most BevMo’s, this store is always clean and well organized. Above average selection. though nothing extremely rare. Good prices overall, with great specials at time. Definately worth a visit if you live nearby! | | nbutler11 (71), Phoenix, Arizona | | August 8, 2008 As far as BevMo goes, this is a pretty run-of-the-mill branch. Sure, there’s an expansive selection of beverages available (especially when it comes to ordering kegs), but there’s nothing offered here that isn’t stocked at more quality locations in the Valley. | | bigbeersrule (12), | | January 14, 2007 A great source for kegs, bottled beer, wine and spirits. Run like a grocery store with discounts on various items like a grocery store. The only reason I knocked down the overall is that the cold beer selection is limited with many beers being on an aisle shelf. That is fine in the winter but in the Arizona summer that just isn’t going to fly. In the Phoenix area the selection is right up there with the top 3, Topps, Sundevil and Papago. It is much better than any grocery store chain. | rella (9), Arizona does not count - explanation | | October 27, 2006 [ Updated October 31, 2007 ] This place is squeaky clean and well lit. It’s basically a warehouse by design. The staff is eager to help. There must be about 300 beers here. A good variety of micros and imports. You can choose from 100 different kegs w/ 5 different sizes. There is a hosted tasting area with 40 different wines to try. They had Lynch Bages on tap =). You can order one of many different bottled beers to drink in the designated area. Of the 300 or so beers only 100 were available by the bottle and in the 22oz format. It’s not a pick and choose bottle shop. This is the only let down. Prices are better than average. Plenty of liquor and wine also from all price points. |
