Good selection, but service sucked. Gnome at the bar really could not have cared less. Picked up a couple obscure NC beers for the fellas back home, so there's that.

Horse-shaped parking lot in the back only one spot open On a busy Friday Night. Bottle shop/bar combo which is dog friendly. Service was average. Descent selection not as picked over as other shops in the area. Prices seemed pretty good.

Beer Study is a great hang. Very relaxed. Great service from the attentive staff. Sam's has better selection, but can't hold a candle to Beer Study's atmosphere.

Clearly the premiere stop in Chapel Hill. Nicely located. I found parking literally right in front and it was an easy walk to all my other stops. Plenty of taps, local NC and plenty of other stuff. High quality with rarities. Draft prices quite good for the most part. Flights of 4 offered for $7. Plastic cups, but they gave me some of the more expensive beers in them, so a win overall. Lots of bottles. Locals well represented along with lots of foreign and US stuff. A small selection of wines and meads. No food, but plenty of restaurants are nearby. Low key vibe, comfortable. Bartender was the only employee in the place but was providing top notch customer service as well as all the other tasks. This is a great place, and if I were local I would be here constantly.

JD and company offer a great beer sampling experience right in the heart of the Hill. Cheers.

Stopped by this place after lunch earlier this week while on vacation. What a sweet place. Wish I had more time to spend there. Nice things on tap. Very knowledgable and friendly dude there. Chatted about lots of beer things, found two Wicked Weed bottles that were sold out at the other place I visited a few days earlier. Had a couple little tastes of things they had on draft. Cool patio area, old school video games set up.

Located on a side street just off of Franklin. It’s in a tiny shopping center but parking is available in front. This place is kind of half bottle shop, half bar. I’m not sure how well the two work together here since its not a big space and the combination feels forced. They had 300-350 beers available arranged first locals and then alphabetical by state which is a little confusing. The strength is definitely in local and regional craft. They only had 2 out 12 shelves for imported craft. I didn’t see a lot of stuff I hadn’t seen before. I do wish the ac had circulated better. The service was pretty good as one the guys behind the bar took the time to point where everything is. It seems like a cool place to hang out on a Saturday night but it’s not a destination bottle shop.

Hole in the wall place lacking in AC which combined with the spotlights right on the beers, is not great for the beers. Has a hipster vibe from the bar area, though folks have their dogs in the store, so it not stuffy by any means. If I were local and still in college, I might hang out there, but its not a destination place.

Nice addition to the local scene. Used bookstore vibe, walls lined with a pretty good selection of craft, certainly on a par with Carrboro Bev Co down the street. What makes the joint are the taps and the fact that there’s so much non-distro stuff represented here: NODA, Pisgah, et. al. Nice place to stop in for a chat, a browse, and a pint.
