I liked this place a lot exceed for the decor and atmosphere. Very biker-y and cookie cutter feeling. Other than that, it was great. Big selection of beers, BBQ, wings, etc. The wings were smoked and really good. Service was great as well. The palce was packed on a Wednesday evening but overall I had a nice time.

Awesome food and a beer selection to match. Service was friendly and quick. Best place I visited in Charlotte.

This is a great beer spot and apparently a famous BBQ joint. Itís part open air, really big, a bit of sports bar, definitely southern (to a Northern eye). All types of people here and it works. The BBQ brisket (all that I had unfortunately) deserved where in NYC is nearly as good IMO. The onion rings were so so though the price was foul. The bartender was not super knowledgable but friendly and professional. While they had a lot of beer to choose from...a very respectable list of local and most American it wasnít enough of a reason to go. But you should go. The BBQ and place are well worth it. I almost went out of my way to go back on my way out of town...shouldíve.

Macís is a quick cab ride from downtown Charlotte with a more roadhouse than city feel inside. Lots of round 4-seater bar-level tables with stools which makes it difficult for large groups, but is manageable. Service is attentive, but not particularly helpful on beer selection - which is vast for the area. Lots of taps and bottles to choose from. The taps include both local, geographically diverse US craft and Belgians. Food is very good bbq - brisket is what they are famous for and it was very good. Cheese grits were also a hit. Overall, pretty good value considering the diversity of options. I try and visit Macís each time I come to Charlotte.

This may be the coolest biker place ever. Awesome BBQ. Especially that vinegar sauce. Had the pulled pork platter which for $10 was unbelievably good. Had Event Horizon on tap which was amazing. Bartender was cool as shit. Blackhawks and White Sox on tv in Charlotte? This was like heaven. This may not be on the level beer wise as Duckworthís, but for a biker BBQ joint it really did out do my expectations. Charlotte is lucky to have this place.

Man this place was packed to the gills during our lunchtime visit. We were somehow able to snag two seats at the bar and once there received good service. The beer selection is vast, much more expansive than the 10 taps claimed on this page. Iíd say weíre talking over 20 taps, easily. Some good stuff was on too, a couple OMB taps along with Espresso Yeti, Stone Smoked Porter, etc. The barbecue is pretty competent. We got the sample plate along with another order of pulled pork. Everything is good, with the ironic exception of the brisket about which they sing the praises. Of course, the brisket is prepared Texas style. As we all know, traditional Carolina style BBQ is the best. This is a fun place with lots of good beer. Definitely one of the best tap lists in the city.

Usually crowded, so go in prepared for that. Beer list is better than expected for such an establishment, though be prepared to pay restaurant prices. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are. Food is awesome! My favorite BBQ in Charlotte. Check out their new Sandy Porter Rd location for more and better beer.

If youíre looking for an awesome meal (bbq) and would like to have some good beers to go with it, this is the place. Most restaurants like this are only serving bud and miller.

Macís has a great selection of beers. Had a Piraat, Mothership Wit, and a Lagunitis IPA. Unfortunately, I had to ask for a glass (the waitress seemed to think I was crazy to want to drink a Piraat out of a glass). Food was great. Everything I ate was incredibly good. Service was decent, alittle slow, but they were busy. The biggest disappointments were the ultra smokey environment (which I suppose will change in a few months), and horribly uncomfortable bar stools. Overall, an interesting place for a great beer selection. Most people were drinking tall-boy Miller Liteís, so Iím a little confused by the great selection.
