| Onenote81 (72), Winston-Salem, North Carolina | | May 3, 2012 Originally reviewed: 9/24/10. Stopped here when in town for business. Stopped by here for the release of a special cask ale from Heavy Seas. The place was pretty raucous and loud when I went. Packed out, but I found a spot at the bar. A patio section sat out front and to the side. I didn’t order any food this time as I had already eaten, but what everyone was eating around me looked good. I was here for the beer anyways. I was blown away by the selection at this place. They carried easily 100+ bottles of almost all-craft beer. Had about 10-12 bottles from Founders, including Devil Dancer, about 10 different Samuel Smiths, lots of Victory, Terrapin, Duck-Rabbit, Stone, Rogue, etc. They also had 27 taps with almost all good beer. Of course they had a couple average ones for the masses, but a great selection for the rest of us. Some Founders on tap as well as, Olde Hickory, Aviator, Catawba, etc. Great local representation. If I live around here, I would hit this place all the time. Will definitely be back when in town. Loved it. | | arventresca (26), Greenville, North Carolina | | April 30, 2012 Stopped in the other night while visiting a friend. Pretty extensive menu. A decent selection if you add bottles and drafts. Food was pretty good, but the eyecandy stole the show. | | msante79 (253), Mount Prospect, Illinois | | April 22, 2011 Stopped in since I like the other location so much. Place was packed and seemed to be missing some of the ambiance of the South Blvd location. Much larger tap selection but missing some of the rare brews the other location had. Food is really good bbq and pretty reasonably priced for quality and quantity you get. Definitely worth a stop but I liked the other location a bit more. | | cblack85 (21), Fort Mill, South Carolina | | September 21, 2010 This is a relatively new place that seems to have a wanna be biker bar feel... It all seems a little put on and chain restaurant-ish. There is a patio that is quite large, unfortunately there is no real scenery to enjoy while sitting on the patio, but it is still quite enjoyable. The beer list is packed with terrific brews. Both on tap and in bottles. The tap list could stand to be a little more extensive, but what is on it is fairly impressive. The menu is about what you would expect from a BBQ joint. The pulled pork and the brisket were quite good. Slightly expensive, but very good.
Very good place to go for a few beers, but there is definately room for improvement | tallboy2 (8), Charlotte, North Carolina does not count - explanation | | June 17, 2010 The new and improved version of the original South Blvd location. Food is still amazing, but service is much better and beer selection (especially on tap) is bigger and better. A must visit. |
