4 reviews for Total Wine and More - Charlotte - University
| HoosBrews (10), North Carolina | | August 6, 2009 More of a wine store than a beer store, but they have a great selection of craft beers in bottles. I did notice many of their beers that should be stored cold were stocked at room temp on the shelves. Prices were decent, but the staff didn’t seem very knowledgable of craft beers. | Mdgutows (2), Charlotte, North Carolina does not count - explanation | | March 7, 2009 This place is right around the corner from my apartment and has been my store for about six months until I recently made the 25 minute trip out to Brawley’s. They have a pretty good selection of micros and imports. It was more than enough to keep me busy trying different things for six months and probably could have kept me busy for another six. However, the knowledge of beer isn’t really great granted they are a wine store and have a ridiculous selection of wine in there. I get the feeling that some of them don’t even like beer. Thankfully, I had this site to guide me in my selection process. Prices are a little high for some things but overall they are normal. This is a very good place to find some of the best beers available in NC. However, if you want a much more knowledgeable and friendlier beer advice, go to a specialty bottle shop like Brawley’s. | Brewkowski (3), Charlotte, North Carolina does not count - explanation | | January 31, 2009 They have a good selection of beer. The only thing that brings down my rating is that the price can be a little steep sometimes. Other than that, it’s a great place to pick up new brews to try. They carry a lot of things you may not find a lot of other places. | | zappafan99 (10), South Carolina | | May 3, 2008 Two stores in Charlotte, NC ...yet each has very different selections...yeah! I’ve never been offered help in any Beer store I’ve been in and I like it that way..they only look dumbfounded when I ask anything. At the point of sale things are very professional. The wine selections at both locations is very good from what I can tell...If you are shopping with wineohhs this is nice. |
