8 reviews for Vintner Wine Market
Garyf (1), Charlotte, does not count - explanation | | November 24, 2009 Now with eight taps with a couple of new beers on every week, and a beer club with rewards for every 20 beers. And of course, Jeremy, who is usually one side of the bar or other. | | HoosBrews (10), North Carolina | | July 24, 2009 Recently made it back to Vintner and was very impressed with the current bottle selection. Got a Terrapin Side Project, a couple Dogfish, and Lagunitis. Jeremy had four great draft options, and was able to spend some time talking beer with me while I enjoyed a pint.
Vintner would be a great place for folks to visit who want to learn more about craft beers. Also good for those of us already hooked to try special, small-batch releases. A very professional, but laid-back retail store. Definitely an under-rated part of Charlotte’s beer community! | | hargettfamily (12), charlotte, North Carolina | | June 12, 2009 This is it. If you live in Charlotte and have not been there, you should not comment on what place is the best in this town. Selection is large and varied. Jeremy keeps the taps changing with great stuff too. This is listed as beer store. It is a store, but when you go you will see that it is also a bar and has a nice food menu prepared by a johnston and wales chef. | | ross (42), weddington, South Carolina | | March 28, 2009 Whoa, this place has really changed since I was last in here. Killer selection of beers, nice people, seem to be knowledgeable, discounts available for 6+ bottle purchases (as if that is a problem). This is my new beer store of choice, and at only 10 minutes away from me, why wouldn’t it be? Didn’t sample the food - I will soon. | | nearbeer (98), Knoxville, Tennessee | | February 24, 2009 [ Updated August 15, 2009 ] Great place in a shopping complex on the south side of Charlotte. I would say there are actually more like 400 beers available in bottles, plus 4 rotating taps of good stuff. Knowledgeable and friendly staff (Jeremy and William were there when I was there) are great and will offer advice and samples. Wine and beer tastings regularly. Food served looks good, but I did not sample. Highly recommended. | | zappafan99 (10), South Carolina | | February 24, 2009 Prices seem to match the area’s other bottle shops. Carries a lot of items unavailable in the other shops. Most styles are represented with a few choices of each. There was a 15% discount for cash/debit purchases. Decent little shop. | | timsilvia32 (37), from Michigan now in Charlotte, North Carolina | | July 5, 2008 Store is good, selection and service. Some prices not sure about, but most are reasonable. I’m sure this location is not a cheap lease, so I’m sure they’re trying to get some of the cost back for the overhead of being able to drink and eat there. However, I would recommend to anyone to check this place out. Better than Total Wine, not quite as good as Brawleys, but close. | tallboy2 (3), Charlotte, North Carolina does not count - explanation | | March 18, 2008 This may not be the place you’d think to look for hundreds of craft beers, but believe me, they have ’em! And the best partyou can drink them at their bar or on their patio. They also serve great appetizer style menu items at night. I live in SE Charlotte, and this is the best store anywhere around town, not just on my side. The staff is great at answering all my questions and I appreciate that. |
