| BlackHaddock (175), , England | | March 29, 2012 If there is a better or bigger selection of German beers anywhere else in the world, I haven’t seen or heard about it. This small shop stocks a fantastic amount of bottles from small un-heard-of breweries to most of the larger names you may well know. If you think German breweries only produce Pils, Kolsch and Alt beers, this place will put you straight.
Non-German beers here as well, a few rare (to me anyway) glasses also available, again as well as more common breweries wares.
Update from 2009 and 2012.
Still impressive selection of beers, I bought 10 different ones to bring home with me to review at leasure.
The old lady and chap still can’t speak English (why should they have too?), so make sure you have some German to use. I have also dropped the value down to inexpensive, 10 bottles for under 14 Euro!
| | edpeg (30), Berlin, Germany | | February 19, 2012 Ambrosetti&Ambrosetti is definitely one of the best places in Berlin to find foreign beers Belgian, UK and some US plus plethora of Germanblands. Service is mostly good and prices ok. Within last 1,5 years things have gone though little more into cash cowing. However the international beers are limited and always the same, which is not a Ambrosetti issue, coming probably from the same Berlin wholesale imporer as so many other Berlin beer shops. In general very good beer shop and good German beer selection. | | lethe (10), New York | | January 23, 2012 This has been my default beer store in Berlin and it has been great. The Ambrosettis and anyone that is working are always very friendly and helpful. The selection is amazing for the area and definitely the best I’ve seen here. Nice section of Belgians and, of course, excellent selection of Germans: many good smaller brewers, landbiers, Brewbaker, and always fully stocked of the best known Germans like Schneider and Weihenstephan. The value is also excellent and prices seem pleasantly low. Absolutely worth stopping at if you are in Berlin briefly or for a longer stretch. Thanks Ambrosetti. | | ogivlado (242), Zagreb, Croatia | | November 3, 2011 Place rating No. 200.
Not so big place with very good selection and reasonable prices. Found some really interesting and also hard to get beers here. Friendly and helpful owner and his son. Highly recommended beer shop. Better than Bier-Spezialitäten-Laden. | | Rasmus40 (62), Beder, Aarhus, Denmark | | August 26, 2011 A small beer shop with lots of German and quite a few Belgian beers dominating the selection. The staff is very friendly and they know their beers. Prices are low, so this is a good place to stock up if you can get a parking spot nearby. | | saxo (32), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark | | August 25, 2011 Great place for finding lots of different beers. You will find no local beers here, only beers from around the world and other places in Germany. | | dudebun (16), , Germany | | November 15, 2010 Nice shop, quiet neighbourhood on quiet street. Great staff, if you need something ask. This includes empty cases, bags, beers they don’t have. There’s a reasonable belgian section as well as English (had a huge range of St Peter’s) and of course fine German beers. I go there for my Rodenbach fix and until recently for Chimay until it started turning up in many a Späti around Berlin. Good value, but they close too early on Saturdays. Gotta get there before 13:00, but definitely worth it.
p.s. I am not so sure the beer list on their site is up to date. | | HenrikSoegaard (144), Randers, Denmark | | October 28, 2010 Very nice beershop. Low prices and nice freindly staff. Didnt have so many kristallls and bocks as hoped for. Some rare countries though and ofcourse a large german sellection. | | ekstedt (67), Göteborg, Sweden | | June 10, 2008 A small and nice place in a quiet neigbourhood. Very good selction of German beers, some Belgians also, plus some various stuff from all over the world. | | gnoff (200), Göteborg, Sweden | | June 8, 2008 Visited on June 7, 2008. Rather close to ’Deutsche Oper’ U-bahn. Nice to stop by K65 on the corner before or after a visit as well. The shop itself has a good assortment of beers, mainly German of course, quite a few I haven’t even seen before. Prices very reasonable, though by far not the cheapest in Berlin. Fairly easy to get to. Located off the big road, so rather quiet and idyllic location. Nice scenery and ambience. Good service though too bad you seldom (as here) see a case or something you can put your beer in while shopping. |
