Convenient location and hours of business. As far as selection goes for grocery stores in the area, itís probably only behind Whole Foods. Thereís a large selection of national players as well as a decent representation of local breweries. Prices are fine, service is nonexistent. Overall, temper your expectations, but itís nice to have around.

Decent beer selection. They also have a beer cave, mostly filled with domestics. All of their beer is cold. A good variety of common craft offerings, 4- and 6-packs, 22ís, and 750ís.

Better than Kroger in Charlottesville (and in the same shopping center), and better than most grocery stores that I have been to. The mean in terms of quality is not as good as Whole Foods, but they might have a bigger selection (close call). Definitely a great place to go later in the day after Wine Warehouse or Whole Foods is closed (though there is also Beer Run for late night runs). The selection fluctuates a little bit among certain beers (the ones I usually want). Plus, it is convenient to those near central Cíville and (to a greater extent) UVA. There is no service to speak of, so I wasnít sure how to rate that.

The best grocery store in the area in terms of beer selection with the exception of Whole Foods, and a tick better than the Hollymead location already in the database. Located near the University in a large shopping center. Plenty of parking. Prices are competitive. Customer service doesnít exist. There are plenty of macros, but also a few Belgians and a good representation of the local and regional craft beer scenes, as well as some national micros. Overall, worth a stop if you need to pick up some good beer late at night, but before 10PM there are better options open for bottles.
