| msante79 (253), Mount Prospect, Illinois | | March 15, 2012 This is basically a whole foods with a small growler station, some singles, and some low gravity. Nice food selection. Worth a stop if you need some groceries. | | b79turner (24), Alabama | | September 11, 2011 A lot of organic brews, decent selection, reasonable pricing. The Vine next door has all the high gravity beers, but it’s closed on Sunday. Worth stopping by. | | BeeriedEyed (11), | | February 2, 2011 Good place but lacking in a sundry beer selection. They have Rogue and Terrapin but more than that they don’t excite on any level. I have another local grocery store that I frequent but unless I’m going to Greenlife’s meat department will I get beer from their store. | | SpringsLicker (101), Tennessee | | August 26, 2010 This place is incorrectly listed. It’s in the same building as Greenlife Grocery, but it’s an entirely separate business that has it’s own door next to the entrance to Greenlife.
Small, eclectic selection. Decent for the city, but compared to the selection that can be found in Atlanta two hours away or that of other areas of the country, it is scant.
Friendly, knowledgeable guy at the register. | | curly (114), Seattle (Newcastle), Washington | | July 8, 2010 Nice organic type place, lots of hippies. Beer selection was decent, a few things you don’t see in Nashville, I really wish the high alc side would have been open when we were there. | cmweldon (2), Tennessee does not count - explanation | | February 13, 2010 This is skewed because the selection for Chattanooga is great. For the rest of the world, meh. The guy who works there in the connected wine/High grav beer store is super friendly and knowledgeable and will talk at length about all kinds of alcoholic beverages. The pizza bar has beer on tap and you can grab a brew and go grocery shopping. I don’t know about you, but that is pretty damn sweet! | elgiacomo (7), Chickamauga, Georgia does not count - explanation | | July 12, 2009 Pretty good selection of lower alcohol beers in the grocery store, especially for Chattanooga. They have some high alcohol offerings in the separate wine section, and again, the selection was overall good for Chattanooga, but not the greatest. Prices are on the high side, but I expected things to be overpriced at Greenlife. Service was great, employees were helpful and very friendly. | | Butters (164), Richmond, Virginia | | June 30, 2009 Stopped in after Noogfest High 5. Pretty decent low alc beer selection. Great quality food with a big eatery area. Cold beers by the single. Reasonable prices. A small attached high alc store. Not nearly as large a selection as the one in Asheville, but pretty damn good for a grocery store in TN. | | lithy (156), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | June 30, 2009 Standard upscale grocery with a decent beer selection. Prices are a bit high and no mixing sixes. Good TN selection though. | | Suttree (120), Knoxville, Tennessee | | June 3, 2008 Stopped by after Noogfest 4. The store itself seems to be larger and easier to get around in than the one in Asheville, and the parking lot is much easier to navigate. The beer selection was sizeable, and I found a few things to take back to Knoxville. I’d’ve loved to have been able to browse the rest of the store a bit longer. |
