| KickInChalice (20), Chicago, Illinois | | February 17, 2012 Binny’s in Lakeview has everything that I have come to expect from the chain - solid craft beer selection, knowledgeable service, and reasonable prices.
The two things that used to prevent me from coming here more often are the lack of availability of limited releases and the parking. Since I work during the week, I can never make it there for the first come first serve weekday releases, which is when they normally get their shipments. Also, on the weekends trying to park here can be a nightmare.
Now that I live down the street though, the convenience combined with the selection and prices make this the beer store I visit most often. A big clean store with a large selection is always a good stop.
| | seymour (37), Saint Louis, Missouri | | December 1, 2011 One of my favorite beer shops. I live in St. Louis, Missouri. Whenever I’m in Chicago, Binny’s is always a destination so I can get stuff I can’t back home. It’s still so strange distribution varies so much between neighboring states, but it really does. Despite what some other raters have written, I found the staff very accessible, helpful and knowledgeable. My main complaint is they should offer more singles, and a build-your-own mix pack option. A worker told me that is coming soon, though. Highly recommended. | | mualumnus (10), Skokie, Illinois | | September 6, 2011 My favorite Binny’s in the area, this is my go to place when I need beer for events in the city. A very good selection in the cooler and a vast selection overall of craft beers. | | wedgie9 (31), Nashville, Tennessee | | August 28, 2011 This location, like almost all Binny’s locations, has nearly everything available in the market. Their selection is massive. Also, like most Binny’s, it is nearly impossible to get much help at this store if you have any questions more than where something is on the shelf. If you get ahold of the right person, they will hold limited releases for you, but a lot of them hit the shelves as well. | | deyholla (90), Waukesha, Wisconsin | | July 6, 2011 One of the largest selection of beers I have ever seen and tend to get a decent amount of rare stuff in as well. Definitely has the feel of a liquor warehouse and the staff ranges from helpful to not helpful at all it is another great store in Chicago. | | nbondi (39), Chicago, Illinois | | April 22, 2011 Large, clean, bright store. Usually when I go in somebody asks if I need any help. If I do, they usually seem to know what they’re talking about. This place is kind-of the go-to for the everyday beer/liquor/wine drinker in Chicago, and as such, gets picked over more quickly than all the other beer shops. If they’ve got something rare or interesting, don’t expect to see it on the shelves for long if it ever even makes it to the shelves. Great wine/liquor selection, artisan cheeses and glassware fill out this one-stop booze emporium. | | jrallen34 (207), Chicago, Illinois | | April 9, 2011 This Binny’s is a little lacking compared to the Lincoln Park. No need to head here between there and WLV being close. | | dwm1034 (11), Chicago, Illinois | | July 11, 2010 EXCELLENT SELECTION....DECENT PRICING... | | jsf23mr (15), Chicago, Illinois | | April 28, 2010 Not the greatest Binnys, or beer depot store, however it does get the job done. A lot of local brews, but mostly American. | | JJSuds (26), Illinois | | November 20, 2009 They appear to really be focusing in on what we beer lovers want. I love their month-long sales of regional beer. |
