Stopped in on the way home from DLD 2013. Nice selection and stacked on the shelves decently. Was impressed by the number of Chicago beers. Overall, a good stop and will visit again when in the area.

I stopped in here during my one day in Chicago on my way home in Japan and simply WOW! 4000 bottles, over 200 kegs?! Amazing, I had never seen such a good selection. More than anywhere in Montreal or Japan. The service was good and the prices cheap compared to what I am used to. I wish I had a place like this nearby... but then again I would probably go broke!

The old Sam’s has seen some changes put still provides all the same qualities. Vast selection but sometimes out of hard to find beers quicker than other location due to it’s popularity and location. The beer staff is moderately knowledgeable and helpful. My most visited of all the stores in and about the Chicago area (as you can tell since I am the mayor, really?)

Binny’s has a fantastic beer selection, and I mean FANTASTIC. Lots of beers we can’t get in Texas, lots of Chicago area beers, lots of special California beers. Smart, helpful staff. Only real problem is that things are a bit pricey, on top of the excessive Illinois tax rate, but all in all, great shop.

The old "Sam’s Wine" location really has come into it’s own as a Binny’s. Great selection, always some sought after stuff on the shelves. Beer staff is helpful, friendly, and always seems to have a goal of getting the beer you want in your hands if they can. Large selection and cooler section and a great location for my Pipeworks FwB pickup. Some fun events and tastings, I’d recommend this among one of my favorite Binny’s locations.

Visited numerous times on my two trips to IL in 2010. Conveniently located to Goose Island Clybourn.

Lots of beer to select from. There are a couple of rows and a number of fridge doors dedicated to beer as well as a whole room for cases. It was frustrating that a lot of the beer wasn’t available in singles. One employee explained that it had something to do with state law, which didnt make any sense because there were lots of singles to choose from, just not some of the stuff I was looking to try. Oh well.

The service is attentive and asks if you need help. They are happy to answer any questions that they are able to answer. On my last trip I ran into a character that goes by Vav. Real nice guy that seems to do everything he can to get some good stuff into the store. What I found interesting was that he knew who I was (at least he knew who t0rin0 was).

Prices are reasonable on most things, high on some. Will definitely return if I can get back to Chicago.

A very large store located just across the street from Goose Island Clybourn... They have a really solid liquor and wine selection to accompany their well laid out beer selection. They have a great variety of styles, with American Craft being the focal point, but plenty of English, Scottish, German and Belgian to choose from. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a must stop if you are in the area.

Very large store, average beer selection, good prices. I must say I was a bit disappointed, more liquor and wine than beer. Friendly staff, seemed knowledgeable. This was my first visit to the Chicago area but I’m certain there is a better selection somewhere else in the city.

Visited this place by recommendation from a friend. 3 things: Biggest and best beer selection I’ve ever seen. The beer manager went out of his way to show me around and possessed excellent beer knowledge. He basically gave me the grand tour and talked to me until I was ready to check out. It was clear that even though this is a big corporate company, the beer manager truly cares about what he is doing and put together a masterful selection.

Dropped quite a bit of money here. Very nice selection of the national and regional beers and especially the locals. Mix and match for some, though this may have been its chief weakness. Would like to see more.
