They appear to really be focusing in on what we beer lovers want. I love their month-long sales of regional beer.

This is a very good big store for beer selection and price. They’ll pretty much have most things that you are looking for at any given time. They might not have the rarest of the rare but if they don’t there is always plenty available. Prices rival most other store and they usually have sales on some of their beers. I will say that some of their beers are pretty high priced but those are usually the rare ones that even if you found somewhere else would be as high or higher. It is also much bigger and has a better selection than the downtown location.

Brightly lit liquor store where beer is far more than an afterthought. Staff is informed and helpful. Selection of locally prodced item was nice.

Good selection of stuff. Nothing super rare, but a good selection of the staples in chicago.

Typical starter beers, half their selection is American, then a third is Belgian, and the rest is English, German, Eastern Euro, and Scottish. Wish they could get Bell’s in again. Good selection of Allagash, Dogfish Head, Bear Republic, and Rogue. Has a lot of gift packs if you’re looking for glasses. I’m two blocks from this one, so I stop in almost every day and I’m running out of beers to try.

A big, open store catering mostly to wine. Beer selection is pretty good, with a decent selection of belgians and english beers, and a solid selection of domestic craft beers. Service is good, once you track someone down. Reasonable prices.

Good old Binny’s, really could depend on this chain to hook it up with good beer. Extreamly large selection of great beers, some good sales once in a while. Great selection of Belgian beers. they seem to focus more on wines but do a great job on beers. Would like them to bring in more rare or harder to find beers, but I can’t complain I haven’t had all their good stuff yet. Visit this frequently.

This is a small-ish Binny’s and I didn’t buy anything to take out because I alrealy found that stuff (and more) at other area liqour stores. It has a large, bright, open warehouse feel to it, and the service was OK once I was able to track somebody down.

While smaller then Sam’s, to be sure, with a correspondingly smaller inventory, I have generally been able to find most of whatever I was looking for. I found the majority of the staff most helpful and friendly. There is one guy in the wine department that seems more interested being snobby then advising but this is the exception. I actually enjoy shopping here
