(Visited 10/2011): Goose Island’s airport pub is located in Terminal C, and is perpetually busy. Even without the crowds, the place is pretty small and narrow, with a small takeaway area by the cash register, and the bar beyond that on the left, with table seating anywhere else it would fit. The beer selection is okay for an airport, with 6 Goose Island taps that are mostly the common stuff (312, Honkers) and a couple less obvious choices (Matilda). There are also some Goose Island bottles plus some macros. Service was pretty good considering the endless stream of people due to flights and the baseball game. When I finally managed to squeeze into a spot the bartender kept up with food and drink orders with no problem. Food is not good, even for an airport. Goose Island obviously takes pride in their beer but anyone not familiar with the brand who orders food here is going to come away with a negative impression. Whatever panini/sandwich I ended up ordering was forgettable at best. Overall I am always a fan of finding a brewpub presence at an airport, and will definitely stop in here on future travels if only for a brew while waiting. I may just grab a bite somewhere else first.

Out of every Goose Island beer except the pale ale when I was there. Food and service were decent. Prices were high. Extremely disappointed being from Texas and not being able try anything else as I passed through.

December 14, 2011 - hanging at airport due to a delayed flight, surprise right? Headed over here based on my boy BVery’s glowing review below. Instead of crying babies, I was able to strike up a little convo with a co-ed drinking a Matilda. I rocked the $11 Green Line (tip included in price). BCS was on the menu, but they were out. No prices on the menu, would have liked to see how much that cost. They do have GI beers so stop by if you have time, you won’t find a better beer spot at the airport...just temper expectations.

Visited on Dec. 7, 2011. Good spot for an airport joint, but its still an airport joint. Selection is fairly limited but there’s about a handful of Goose Island brews available. Love the background noise of gate announcements and crying babies. When is my flight again? Not trying to hate here - its just a disadvantaged location for it to shine from a beer bar perspective, but its great to find it when you are stuck in OHare. Nine frickin bucks for a Goose Island IPA though - and that’s a 12 oz bottle.

A bit of an oasis at O’Hare; although the beer prices are ridiculous, even by airport standards. Porterhouse’s review just prior to mine sums it up nicely.

Coming from a place where we don’t get Goose Island, I was thrilled to see this place while waiting for a flight. Although it gave me a chance to try Matilda, there wasn’t much else to get excited about after all. Just 3 Goose Islands on draft and ho-hum pre-made sandwiches.

There is another Goose Island in Terminal 3 Concourse C between gates C8 & C10. It’s tiny - really just a take-away food place with a few taps - Bud Lite (really??), Honkers and 712 Urban Wheat. Bottles: IPA, Mild Winter, Summertime and Honkers.

Flight delay gave me way too much time to kill in the airport. Saw this listed in the database, and thought I’d go get a beer. The Goose Island Brewery in O’Hare is located in Terminal 3 near gate L10. They had 4 GI beers on draft (mostly std line up, had Green Line Pale Ale and Sofie) and 5 bottles (including BCS and Pere Jacques). I guess that would qualify as unique for an airport bar, but just moderately so. Beyond the beer lineup its your typical cramped airport bar and restaurant. Food looked pretty so-so.

Got to the airport early for an international flight, thought I was in luck when I saw this place right across from my gate. Big mistake, this is not a craft bar at all. They have budlight, a bunch of crap, and two bad GI taps. Skip this place.

A bit rowdy for an airport bar, but then again it was the world series... Only had 312 and Matilda on tap, but at 9 bucks for a pint, I think Matilda was cheaper than the 7 dollar chalice that you get at Clybourn. Not a bad way to kick off a flight to Germany. Just a generic bar that serves Goose beers, for the most part, but I would stop here again if I ever find myself back in O’Hare for a time.
