Sweet refuge on an infernally hot afternoon, ducked in here for a couple and was pleasantly surprised by the beers and, to a lesser extent, the food. Spacious, dark and cool, with a convivial mid-afternoon crowd. Great range of in-house beers on tap, including several very sessionable farmhouse brews and similar. Seems to get less chatter than some other places, but I was impressed.

Stopped in when I didnt feel like waiting out in the cold for the bus. Lots of tables, long bar with tons of taps. Very nice prices and serving options. Will have to try the food some other day. good visit.

Haymarket is located in a large brick building in downtown Chicago on the corner of West Randolph and North Halsted. Metered street parking is available in the surrounding area, as is some free parking in front of the stores on Randolph.
The interior opens to the bar area, with a small space by the host stand devoted to merch. Beyond that is the bar on the right, with a view of the tap handles behind it. The left side of the room has table seating, and provides a view of the brewing equipment behind windows. Hanging lights, burnt sienna colored walls and TVs placed around the bar.
Haymarket has around 20 taps, including 16 of their own beers on my visit. They offer different serving sizes including samples. During my visit they had a Kolsch, Pils, a couple Pale Ales and Belgians, and a few IPAs, Barley Wine and a Smoked Porter. All of the beers were decent with a couple standouts.
Service on a weekday evening at the bar was good. The bartender was knowledgeable about their beer menu and made recommendations of other spots to visit in the area.
I did not have any food on my visit.
Overall this is a solid brewpub to visit in Chicago.

Stopped by this place while in Chicago, grabbing a few appetizers and some beer before heading back to the hotel. The beer was all top-notch despite the varying styles. Had a delicious BA Impy Stout and some bright, citrusy IPA’s. Well crafted. Food was typical pub fair, nothing exquisite but definitely tasty. Lots of televisions, relaxed vibe, lots of patrons enjoying themselves. Stop by!

Very nice brewpub in Chicago. This was one of 8 places I visited over 5 days of a Chicago business trip. I thought their beers were very good (for the most part not great...but very good). I tried all of them via flights and a couple of tastings. I really enjouyed the food which is definitely a plus. I also thought the atmosphere very enjoyable. As others have said...not so much a sports bar as a nice brewpub/restaurant with a very complimentary sports vibe.

Ambiance is great, a somewhat dark large brewpub, good amount of tvs, but not a sports bar, lots of eating room, but cozy at the same time. Our waiting was awesome, hooked us up with a quick sampler and put our food in fast because we were in a hurry. Selections is pretty good with 10-15 in house things and about 6-8 guest, all fairly interesting. Prices were pretty solid for smaples, food was reasonably priced and the burger I had was awesome. Overall definitely a stop that should be hit in Chicago.

Stopped by with a co-worker after training today. Liked that they had in-house brews and a nice selection of guest taps. Samplers around $2 for 4 ounces was really cool. Great service that was prompt considering a rather full bar. Food was very solid as well.

A city centre brewpub for sports lovers. The place is full of TV’s for anyone that wants to watch the game but thankfully the volume was turned down and the music turned up. They had seven of their own beers which I have to say were pretty good. Shame there were no dark beers though. There were another thirteen guest beers on tap, all of which were pretty epic. Four ounce tasters are available for all beers. The salmon BLT was awesome as was the service. The waitress was very helpful. It’s a big open place with a pretty tiled floor and plenty of fans to keep the air moving around. The brewery is visible through some big windows at the side. The wifi works pretty well too. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I will return for sure. It felt like home.

Showed up at 6pm on a Thursday and the place was starting to fill up. Easy train ride from Clark/Lake near where we stayed. 12 of their beers on tap! Various sizes pours - from 4 oz to 22 ounce! Solid burger options and kid options. I thought all the beers were great.
