| NobleSquirrel (55), Chicago, Illinois | | June 30, 2009 This is a pretty close place to where I work so I’ve ventured there numerous times. Most of the time, the tap lines are dirty and the beer is far from fresh. Which is sad because the selection is pretty good (about 30 taps or so). But that is the downfall. The staff is cool, but the beer is just not up to snuff in terms of taking care of it and the lines. | bierslaaf (4), Cape Town, South Africa does not count - explanation | | May 23, 2009 Found it on Three Floyeds website when I had some time free in Chicago. This place has been around for a while but the atmosphere is more sportsbar & restaurant than serious beer bar (compared to Rattle n Hum in NY). The staff must have drunk beer before but they don’t share that information. They do have a good selection on tap and I did find the Alpha King I’ve been looking for. Food is average with huge portions. Ended up eating to much after trying 2 appetisers (be warned, take a friend to help). It’s in walking distance from our Chicago office so I’ll be back. |
