Piece is a real fun place to go to. It gets packed here on the weekends and you need to make sure to get here early if you want a table. The waits can be a long time when it gets packed. The beer is pretty solid. A bit variable across the board, but never a bad beer in the bunch. They will have anywhere between 5-8 of their on beers on tap along with about the same in guest taps. The service has generally been very good for me. I’ve been at both the bar and tables. I’ve always gotten great service from the wait staff and the bartenders are usually very good as well (and obviously it’s hard to keep up when the are slammed) The pizza is really why you come here to be honest. It’s new haven style so it’s thin and with good sauce. The pizzas are real big where even a small is way more than enough for 2 people. The pizza isn’t cheap and things add up real fast here. Piece is fun to go to though. The only real downside is the parking. It’s near impossible as non-permit cars usually get ticketed at some point or you have to deal with paying for street parking

HOLY CRAP, THE PIZZA IS AMAZING. We went for an early dinner on Saturday night (around 5:30) and the place was packed! Ordered the pale ale and another sample because I was driving to FFF after we ate. The beer was good, but honestly all I can remember is how good the pizza was! Large crowd, but if you sit in a booth, it isn’t a problem. Recommended to all!

Raucous brewery and pizzeria in the Wicker Park neighborhood. Seems this place is mondo crowded regardless of the time of night, but there’s a reason for that. The pizza is outstanding, the beers are excellent. There’s also a number of handles dedicated to guest beers. Service can be a bit spotty because of the crowds, but its worth the wait.

Packed during Bears game, dimly-lit one-large warehouse style, wood plank ceiling high above multi-leveled dining hall that seats probably 100. TVs line the wall, at least 10 of them. service a bit slow but all smiles even while packed. Sample about as cheap as it comes. A couple of annoying things like spilled beer and cleaning the table while I stand by and watch, kind of perfunctory. Beers are decent, selection mediocre, really nice affordable pizza, unique as well for Chicago.

9th stop on a recent trip to Chicago with my girlfriend. VIBE: massive "open air" interior has a sizable bar with several flat screens and various dining areas dispersed throughout the restaurant. Two-seater tables off to the left, some communal tables and stools in the middle, and large booths toward the front. Windows were open on our visit, which we enjoyed. Downmarket atmosphere has a sports bar feel to it. Pretty cool vibe. SERVICE: initially we were seated in the two-person tables section, but it was quite cramped and we could hear everything that the patrons beside us were saying, so the waitress agreed to move us. She was very graceful about it even though we moved to another server’s area. The male waiter wasn’t nearly as friendly but he provided timely service and decent recos. SELECTION: I ordered the Dysfunctionale IPA and Flat Iron Stout and the lady scored a wine of her liking. The Stout was too malt-forward for my tastes; however, the IPA was one of the best that I’ve sampled in a while. House taps span a wide range of styles (Belgian Single, Kolsch, Rye Beer, DIPA) and the guest draughts come from top-notch breweries such as 3Floyds, Bell’s, Half Acre, Sierra Nevada, and New Belgium. Although the bottle list is lacking for Chicago, it still includes a few gems like Saxo and Bahnhof Berliner Weisse. FOOD: we went with a custom pizza (pepperoni, Italian sausage, tomato, spinach, onions) that was absolutely sumptuous. The "large" can feed four people and, at $13, it’s dirt cheap. Also had a fresh mixed green salad to start. We couldn’t have been happier with our dinner. OVERALL: Piece is exactly the type of place that my girl and I would regularly visit if we lived in Chi-Town. They’re doing the "beer & pizza" thing really well. A choice destination for its award-winning craft brews and flavourful, unpretentious cuisine.

Great brews, great selection of local 1 off brews, great pizza. I actually will hit this place up for a beer and a couple pies to go when I’m in the city as a means to keep the wife happy.

Piece is basically a big barn with beer. This barn is often very crowded and noisy, so, sorry, can’t give high marks for ambiance. Service is also spotty. It’s clear that they are a volume business and have to leave some pleasantries at the door....which doesn’t really bother me. I think the pizza is ok, but most of my pals love it. Either way, we both agree banana peppers are mandatory. Prices are very reasonable for food, and there’s a great take-out special for a pie and a growler. Piece brews and guest beers are excellent, and priced reasonable. Camel Toe is one of the best IIPA’s you’ll ever put in your guts. Great place to go with a large group, but if it’s the weekend, expect to yell....and wait for a table.

This place is one of my favorite spots for a pie in Chicago. The food is really good here and of course, the beer is solid as well. They always have a nice selection of guest draft & bottles too.
