Ambiance is good, a bit tight and possible of destroying an entire display if a little tipsy, but well organized and easy to find things. Service was helpful and willnig to talk beer and make recommendations. Selection was pretty great, found most of what i was looking for, and some other stuff I’ve wanted to try for a while and didn’t even know they had. Prices were reasonable for the great selection they offer. Overall One of the best bottles shops i’ve ever been to.

I’ve been here several times. Very nice store, service is great, staff has always been very knowledgeable. The selection is very good (although it may be "picked through" sometimes I always find something I’m after). I recently attended Zwanze Day 2012, which was very well worth the admission fee and I thought was handled effectively. Lots of great draft beers on bottomless pours = no complaints here. My last visit gleaned some fantastic Pipeworks beers, which i did not find elsewhere in the city. I have noticed WLV sometimes has slightly higher prices on select items (primarily import craft) compared to smaller or bigger stores, however, I believe the selection and knowledge are worth the (possible) extra toll.

I’ve been to West Lakeview several times and can’t say enough about the staff and selection. Events are some of the best in the city, free beer and food plus Brewers to talk to. Great selection, always receptive staff, and an important factor is that they don’t leave everything out, limiting people to buy a couple and leave some for everyone else: a factor I really enjoy. Special stuff and unique offerings to Chicago are regular and free parking plus a nice cooler section for "Drink It Now" choices is a big plus. One of the best stores in Chicago for sheer breadth of selection plus the only place to find some breweries and the best place to find a lot of stuff from oversears. Not sure why people are rating this place when all they did is mail order from them..

Made a stop in while in Chicago for the afternoon. The store was quite smaller than I expected and the selection wasn’t as extensive as you’d think based off their weekly "in stock" updates online. They did have many quality beers available and the staff was extremely helpful with answering general availability questions as well as providing info on the local beer scene. Pricing was fair, they even were running some bottles at an additional $1 off sticker price! Overall it was worth my time and I’ll go back next time I’m in Chicago!

Placed an order with these guys for a bunch of Pipeworks stuff when their blueberry Berliner came out. Ordering process was easy, prices on beers were good, and the shipping itself was great. Fast, on time, well packed. Only thing that would keep me from ordering here again would be the price for shipping. $28 for a six pack of bombers to NY seemed a bit steep to me, having sent equally large (and larger) boxes to Chicago from NY for about half of that.

The selection is quality. I enjoyed my stop here. The employ helped me out in every way possible. He even directed me to some other establishments in the city. Which was a big help considering it was my first time in the windy city. I will surely go back if I am around again.

Great selection of Midwest bottles, Imports, other Micro’s (though Canada is a bit under-represented). Bottles everywhere when you step inside. Guy working the desk was very helpful in helping me find things. Only big complaint - a lack of 3 Floyds when I was there. Very reasonable prices, especially considering some of the imports. Knowledgable staff is a big plsu though and this store had it to go with the awesome selection.

A-- Off Addison, near Wrigley Field. Very small shop. Wine in the middle of the store, beers in the coolers and in the back. Q-- Clean and organized. Did a nice job of separating the foreign, local craft and craft beer. Especially considering the space that they have to work with. S-- Excellent service. Had two questions and got a lot of help in a short amount of time. S-- Impressive. Good Foreign stuff that not normally seen and really good selection of stuff within the Chicago area. Able to buy singles of selected beers was very nice and something not all that seen in the US. V-- Good prices, good service and a good selection of beers. FFF, Flossmore, Dark Horse, Great Divide, Hitichino, and others make this a place worth going to in a big way. Thanks to Dunt for the suggestion.
