7 reviews for Mulligan’s Hyde Park Pub
| phaleslu (88), Cincinnati, Ohio | | September 9, 2009 [ Updated September 11, 2009 ] Mulligan’s is on Madison just west of Edwards and you’ll know it from the college and local pro sports flags out front. The inside has a front bar and table area, big back room, and big covered patio. The atmosphere reminds me a lot of a sports bar in a college town. The service and food follow that feel, as neither are very good. There are about 33 taps by my count and maybe 45 bottles. Most taps aren’t anything special, but there are a lot to choose from so I’m sure I’ll find something I haven’t rated next time I go. In addition to American, English, and Irish macros, there are taps from Great Lakes, Bell’s, Christian Moerlein, Rogue, Leinenkugel, Goose Island, and maybe another micro or two. They just added Arrogant Bastard recently. There are a few impressive bottles, like Bell’s Kalamazoo Stout and Stone IPA. Prices are fair ($4.25 for most domestic drafts- cheaper for macros- $5.25 for most foreign beers), and this is a good place to go watch NFL games. | jasonapawlak (1), Cincinnati, Ohio does not count - explanation | | February 28, 2007 Fine food selection with a nice wall of taps. Nice place to hang and watch a game, lots of TVs. A little bit on the pricey side, however, nicely kept. The evening starts with a 40’s to 50’s crowd and turns to a late 20’s to early 30’s crowd as the night goes on. A place to check out at least once. | Kingtubby (5), Cincinnati, Ohio does not count - explanation | | February 6, 2007 Decent place to play pool and have a few beers. Last time I was there they had unibroue’s Maudite on tap which I was happy about. Beware, the worst jukebox I’ve ever heard! | | verymerrymonk (13), Cincinnati, Ohio | | December 5, 2006 One of the few places in the area where all of my friends can go and be happy during a big game. Everything from Bud to Stone on tap along with plenty of TVs, pool tables, Golden Tee, hot chicks and typical bar chow. Not great but always a good time.
To address the rating by Plymouth: this was an isolated incident. I’ve never felt unsafe at or outside of Mulligan’s. | plymouth (1), Cincinnati, Ohio does not count - explanation | | January 19, 2006 OK interior/beer selection; however NOT SAFE!!! Bar welcomes everyone, including patrons with no class. On saturday, a man was shot and killed in the parking lot!!! | | Tmoney99 (254), Cincinnati, Ohio | | July 29, 2005 Located in Hyde Park area. Nice size with bar, table and outdoor seating. Tap wall behind bar with a good selection of the standard names of both micro and macro brewers. Food is well presented pub selection. More food and entertainment than brews, but good location. | | JCW (89), Cincinnati, Ohio | | November 26, 2004 [ Updated September 5, 2008 ] Very similar to Colerain Brewing Co. Twenty taps, Stones, Rogue, Barrelhouse brewing, Left Hand to name a few that are on tap. Lots of Macros and widely known import beers. Not much in the way of craft beers, but they do have a few. |
