5 reviews for Trader Joe’s (Cincinnati, OH)
| phaleslu (88), Cincinnati, Ohio | | September 9, 2009 Like any other Trader Joe’s, the Cincinnati store (Kenwood) devotes more relative space and effort than other national markets to beer. The beer aisle generally has some interesting stuff, and the selection rotates frequently. A lot of local and regional brews are represented here, so you’ll find plenty of Christian Moerlein, Great Lakes, Hudepohl, and so forth. The house brand beer is generally worth trying out, too. The make-your-own-6 pack feature is nice and I wish more places did this. | | shigadeyo (57), Harrison, Ohio | | January 7, 2007 This Trader Joe’s is located near the Kenwood Mall where the old Office Max used to be. They have a few (literally) micro and import beers, but the reason to come here is to get their "store brand" beer. Their beers are contract brewed for them by other reputable breweries including Firestone Walker, Goose Island, Unibroue, and others. This beer is generally inexpensive ($5 a 6-pack), but is pretty good - generally better than average. You can also mix and match 6-packs and/or buy singles. In addition to beer, they have a great selection of <$10/bottle wine and port and lots of great food for a good price as well. | OhioGuzzler (6), Maineville, Ohio does not count - explanation | | August 4, 2006 There selection is subpar for the average beer snob but they do have a few interesting brews... I can recommend them on prices - some of their fringe stuff is pretty reasonable. | | JCW (89), Cincinnati, Ohio | | July 28, 2006 [ Updated September 5, 2008 ] They have about a dozen beers made for Trader Joe’s and some beers that you see almost any where that sells craft beer and imports. Fine selection of interesting foods. Good prices on any of their beers. | | Tmoney99 (254), Cincinnati, Ohio | | April 21, 2006 Located in strip mall off the corner of Kenwood and Montgomery. Good parking in front and nice clean location with 80 percent package food and some pre-made meals. Good selection of beers with their own brand labels made by Gordon Biersch and two brand labels made by Goose Island. Selection of other beers from other brewers. They will allow pulling singles from six packs. Good wine selection. Good location to food shop and pick a brew or wine. |
