| Travlr (637), Washington, Washington DC | | May 20, 2012 Very smsll place with a fairly ordinary selection. No CCB, for instance. Only worth trying if you’re passing by. | | Dogbrick (423), Columbus, Ohio | | December 5, 2011 (Visited 06/2011): World of Beer in Clearwater is located on Gulf To Bay (Rte 60) not too far from where the bridge begins. The plaza has plentiful parking.
Not much to look at from the outside. The interior is small with the beer selection primarily on the right side in coolers.
Pretty fair selection including Florida breweries like Ybor City and Dunedin. Other domestic craft breweries like Rogue, Dogfish Head, and Ommegang are present too. As for imports there are options from Belgium, Germany, the UK etc. Customers can also purchase singles.
Service was knowledgeable and friendly on my quick visit. There were a couple gents behind the counter and they were both clearly beer fans.
Overall this is a good spot to check out not too far from the airport. | | fata2683 (125), Tucson, Arizona | | June 18, 2011 awesome selection of imports and domestics, everything is in single bottle format but you can buy larger formats if you ask. Worth checking out. | | beastiefan2k (141), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas | | March 27, 2011 Stopped by while vacationing and on my from the beach. Its is right across from the original Hooters. Store space is small but well stocked, most beer in the fridge and all in singles. However, after 2 minutes I left empty handed. There was only 1 CC, the brown and all the American crafts are rather widely available throughout the states so nothing interesting. The Import selection was almost non-existent. | | raiderfost (10), virginia beach, Virginia | | May 31, 2010 Not horrible but 700 bottles is realy pushing it. Some good one here but not the best selection and really overpriced. | | suprchunk (60), Heinsberg, Germany | | May 17, 2010 Great little store in a strip mall across from the original Hooter’s. Right next to a tiny Greyhound station so you get the occasional weirdo walking by. The selection is pretty good and they owner will help you out with whatever you could want. And he’ll tell you if he can’t get something so you won’t keep asking him every time you come in. Decent prices on most anything. Another nice thing is he keeps the crap beer by the entrance so those get skunked and the good ones stay good. It also keeps the riff-raff out of the people looking for real beers. | | AndyHasFins (11), Tampa, Florida | | April 25, 2010 Tiny little place with coolers full of singles along one wall, cases & six packs on the other.
Definitely worth stopping in and trying some new brews. The owner is a super-friendly guy who loves to just Talk Beer with everybody who comes through the door and can help point you in the right direction when you’re not quite sure what your looking for. | | PorterPounder (219), Tallahassee, Florida | | March 29, 2010 Stopped by here in late March ’10. Small store front location next to a greyhound station - but don’t let that deter you. A half dozen or so coolers of bombers await the beer hunter. Lots of northeast brewers represented - many new to the area. Friendly service - the owner is familiar with Ratebeer and seems to know just about everybody - even broke out his notebook of business cards . Plenty of singles to choose from - only complaint - no prices from what I recall - but the total at the register was not a shocker. | | Slacks (22), Bolton, Ontario | | January 24, 2010 Clearwater’s best bet for bottles, guaranteed. Coolers upon coolers of offerings with the pitch out front to "build your own 6-pack." All the great breweries are accounted for, and the gents know their stuff when you have some questions. Ask for a business card and you’ll find a 2-for-1 for the nearby Brew Garden on the back for a little added value. | | Nail (10), Georgia | | May 13, 2009 Large selection, knowledgeable staff, ugly shop, prices are a on the high side, and the location is out of the way. I would rather shop Lueken’s Liquors, where I can pick up wine and liquor all in one stop. |
