Small place shares the building with Bar Cento (wine bar). Cool atmosphere and lighting. Service is ok when not during busy times. Selection is decent with mix of Belgians and American Craft. Food is excellent especially the pizzas.

(Visited 07/2011): McNulty’s is located in the Ohio City area around the corner from Great Lakes. The brewpub is located on W 25th and Market. Parking is typically scarce in the surrounding area. The interior is large and somewhat divided, and has a comfortable feel. It boasts a long bar along the right side with table/booth seating throughout the space. There is a large chalkboard behind the bar listing current offerings. McNulty’s beers have a strong Belgian influence, with a lot of the more common beers from that country. All told there are around 15 taps with Duvel (Green), Hoegaarden, Chimay, Lindeman’s, St. Bernardus and Ommegang on this list. A sampler is available. The bottled selection numbers around 50 again with an emphasis on the Belgian style. Breweries such as Ommegang, Duvel, Unibroue, Dupont, and Westmalle are present. Outside of Belgium they carry common domestic macro and microbrews. Service was good on a relatively slow (at least compared to Market Garden) weekday evening. The bartender had a thorough knowledge of of the beer list and was attentive throughout my visit. I did not have any food on my visit. Overall this is a nice spot to hit for a solid Belgian beer menu in Cleveland.

cool spot if you want to drink belgians, but the bartender I had did not even know the proper ingredients for a tequila sunrise, nor do they stock more than 2 liquor choices.. as for beer, they have about 12 taps that I remember, nothing rare nothing special just your average run of the mill stuff, place started filling up around 10pm with a wide mix of hipsters and clubbers, pricing was high IMO for your standard "Pale ale" pint was north of 5 bucks during happy hour.. but this is on par for downtown cleveland, though great lakes is cheaper for some things.. would prefer to not come back again.

Went here after Great Lakes (It’s right around the corner), the waitress gave us menus then came back, I said "we’re here to drink Belgian beer", she then got us the Belgian beer menu, we had a nice sampler with some fries that were just great. Had a blast and will happily return and down more Belgians. The great Lakes Mcnulty combo was really enjoyable.

Meeting some people for a social event I was finally able to check out this place after meaning to get down to Ohio City again for quite a while. The atmosphere was a bit different than usual but I can imagine this place gets very busy on the weekends.

The beer selection is solid with about ten options ranging across many styles. The taps are not exactly rare but you won’t be drinking "imports" like Blue Moon or Heineken either. Being happy hour the prices were very fair as well. Even the normal draft menu wasn’t outside the range for downtown Cleveland.

The food is also worth noting although I am not sure if they make it in house or next door. Parking, as with Great Lakes Brewing, can be tricky. If you do some research beforehand though there are several pay lots and (if you are lucky) on street parking. Combined with some of the other locations in the area this is worth a visit when you are in Cleveland.

Quite frankly, this place blows. A pretentious shite-hole that has all the people I never want to see. Below average beer selection. This is the management team that is opening up a new brewery across the street, I hope they use a different model. If not, it will suck as well. At least over there the beer might be good.

Nice atmosphere. A bit Yuppie for me but the selection of Belgians is like no place I’ve ever been.

Since this was so close to Great Lakes, we took a quick walk over here. We spent less than ten minutes here and then promptly walked out. It was just as they were opening up, so they weren’t entirely prepared to be serving us, but we were still greeted rather rudely. The place itself has a nice enough layout and decor, but the tap list wasn’t anything special. Granted that where I am it would offer a nice selection, two hours outside of a major city. But for in a major city, I was really expecting more. Nothing amazing on tap, or anything that I wouldn’t expect to find in just about any decent craft beer bar. Not really worth the time.

This place is far from "exceptional". Boring tap list of belgian stuff that I can get easily in NY and at similar prices. Interior is swanky almost pretentious. Meh. Didn’t have food because the kitchen wasn’t even open.
