| TreborWhip (19), Reading, Pennsylvania | | February 20, 2012 [ Updated April 30, 2012 ] Stopped for sushi on the way home from my nephew’s college basketball game. This place is hands down the coolest grocery store, beer mart, cafe combo I’ve ever seen. You can buy all your groceries here and prepared food (hot & cold) to eat in the cafe or to go. Now, more importantly, to the beer selection which was the best I’ve seen in PA. Everything is organized by country of origin or style with a special selection of local craft beers. You can buy cases, six pack, mixed six packs ($11.99), and singles all at the most reasonable prices I’ve seen anywhere in this area. We came away very impressed and will definitely drive the 20 or so miles in the future. I think this might become my "go to" place for ale from now on. We were there early Saturday evening and the place was packed, however, they had more than an adequate amount of staff and we only had to wait in line about five minutes to check out. One helpful hint, you must pay for your beer and prepared food separate from your groceries at a different set of checkout registers. They even had two kegs of craft beer where you could have growlers filled. I’m 61 years old with gray hair and they carded me! | | Phillies2008Champs (14), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania | | July 4, 2011 I live less than 5 min from here. The selection is solide withlots of Allagash, Founder, Bells, Ithaca, Vodoo and tons of imports. The service sucks as they have no one who knows anything about beer. I once allerted them to an infected batch of Two Hearted and it was still on the shelf 4 days later. The prices are great with a 4 pack of Founders Double trouble going for $10.99. The set up is nice as they took overt the soda aisle and have beer stacked by the cashiers. | | scottw86 (22), Maryland | | August 15, 2010 I was very surprised to see a selection like this in a wegmans. They had a few rare beers that I have not seen elsewhere. Prices were decent. | | obxdude10 (99), Pottstown, Pennsylvania | | July 14, 2010 I was really excited when this store first opened back in October ’09, and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve been back to pickup bottles and four and six packs ever since. It’s a great way to try some new beers. They have a pretty nice selection, with local stuff in the spotlight. They have plenty of Victory, Sly Fox and Philly beers. They also feature some really nice brews from the West Coast, like Port and Stone. Some other brewers that I’ve found here are Founders, Dogfish, Long Trail, Great Lakes and Rogue. They also feature a decent selection of imports. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. The service is usually pretty good, with at least one guy walking around the area that is available for questions. The store is in a great spot, too, just off Rt 422 in Collegeville between Pottstown and King of Prussia. I definitely try and stop in at least once a month to try some new beers and retaste some exisiting favorites. | | michael-pollack (100), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania | | April 24, 2010 Nice store. No service. Good selection. On the cheap side. | | DocLock (121), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania | | April 23, 2010 Good selection, very good service, the food here is absolutely outstanding, and I’ve never seen better bottle prices in my life. Port stuf for 7 bucks a bottle, Sly Fox bombers almost the same price as getting them in the brewpub. I don’t know how they do it, but I’m glad they do. | | jeremytoni (110), Swedesboro, New Jersey | | April 19, 2010 Decent selction of botlles, six pack, cases. |
