Hofbrau Munchen Delicator from tap could be a reason to go. Otherwise this is extremely odd. Grown people dancing and shouting pop ballads from the 80’s mixed with really young people drinking Corona. Really loud music. Corona, Leffe and Germans from tap. Bittbuger, Erdinger, etc. Hmmh..

Zum "nur Bier trinken" ist das Biermuseum eine Top-Adresse. Mehr als 15 Biere vom Fass und diverse Flaschenbiere stellen so eine einzigartige Vielfalt in Köln dar. Essen sollte man dort eher nicht denn teuer und mittelmässig muss nicht sein.

Not the most exciting place to be, the whole place seemed a bit tired. They may have a German beer you haven’t rated, and you may be looking for something other than kölsch, which i the best reason to visit

Rather dingy place with disinterested service. Quite a few tap beers, though not a whole lot of hard to find things. Had a Kulbacher Eisbock, though. Not that great, but at least I found it. Good for a couple if you get sick of Kolsch, which you probably will.

So the selection is not huge - but everything is relative, and in this town many places are 1 beer wonders. So aces for selection. It’s a bit grungy, despite a fairly recent coat of interior white paint. We were the only customers, and the service was surprised to find us. Tap beers might be difficult to identify as to brewer. However, it was a good break after walking the Rhine bank. Good place to go when feeling "kolsched".

If you are out to try some new beer, stay away Friday and Saturday night! It is to noisy, overcrowded, a lot of smoke and weird German pop music. Visit at daytime and you can get a table and enjoy a fairly nice selection of beer. The staff are rather unknowing, but I got a friendly service. A problem is that their beer list is inaccurate.I think that Kulmbacher Eisbock 11 % (40 cl, 2,9 Euro) has to to be EKU 28, which is 11 %. Another one is Kulmbacher Doppelbock. What have I been drinking? I see that some at Ratebeer think it is a Hofbräu München Delicator Doppelbock. My first beer was Vitus Weizenbock, a good change after lots of different 20 cl kölsches.

18 beers on draught! That sounds great! But when you come closer, You’ll find the usual suspects in this quite drab Altstadt-pub. They claim to serve Hofbräu Delicator !? A beer You can’t get in Munich or elsewhere in Germany.........

I was here on an August afternoon and me and another guy were the only customers at this time. There was no music and the place was rather quiet. The staff only consisted of a grumpy old bartender. I asked him for the menu, and then asked for the Schlenkerla Rauchbier, the reply was ’’the Rauchbier is gone’’. I asked if any of the other beers aren’t available anymore, so he said Kulmbacher Eisbock - the two beers I wanted to try the most aren’t available. Oh well, after I knew I can get all other beers besides the ones he mentioned I asked for some Maibock - Well now, he already seemed really irritated and angrily said ’’only in season!’’. Anyway, I ended up drinking a Hofbräu München Delicator Doppelbock (appears on one of the menus as Kulmbacher Delicator) and a Diebels Alt. The beers were nice, but the overall experience wasn’t that great.

Arrived at the Biermuseum with much excitement and anticipation, couldn’t want to get some rare goodies here, per their website and other reviews. Unfortunately, of the beers I selected, none were available until I got down to the Reichelbrau Eisbock, which who knows what it was, pretty nasty in the bottle I got (only beer I ever contemplated pouring, while in Germay, and did so into the trees/bushes by our outdoor table). Pretty upsetting experience from a place that was supposed to have 18 exciting taps and more thna 10 bottles or something like that. The service wasn’t even that friendly or helpful. The outdoor seating area was relaxing, but the food only mediocre, the actual beer inventory much less exciting than the list.
