Leider! | | Russo (28), Campinas, Brazil | | March 6, 2012 The place is good but beer is not their core business, so you can find some german and a few belgians ones, some times UK and Canadian. but still not a good choice to buy beers. worth a visit if you are around. | | Ibrew2or3 (248), Phoenix, Arizona | | November 12, 2011 Wow big store with tons of different things. It is Macys meets Whole Foods. They have a really small beer selection. I was able to score some Freigeist beers but the BraufactuM beers I was looking for weren’t there today. Worth a stop by if you’re in the area. | | ontbeermaker (127), Ontario | | October 13, 2011 Just a big department store. Imagine JC penny with a grocery and a beer selection. It didnt have much. Just a few imports and local stuff. Decent but nothing that will wow you | | MartinT (469), Montreal, Quebec | | August 11, 2011 This is not a beer store per say, but rather a gourmet supermarket which happens to have a better-than-usual selection for the area. They now carry Braufactum brews and their imports (Firestone Walker, Boon, Birrificio Italiano, etc.), so that is a plus. Andechs is always nice to find too, but it isn’t a rarity in these parts. Rothaus is also available here, but like any fragile lager outside its area, it may not be in smashing condition like it can be in the Black Forest. Anyway, come here if you can’t find anything fun to drink at your hotel while you’re in Cologne. Otherwise, stick to the Kölsch pubs! They are much more interesting anyway. | | Christian (159), Odense, Denmark | | July 31, 2011 Small selection of beers that may be a bit unusual for Germany, but not exactly rare (Fullers/Sam Smith/various Bavarian standards). The Freigeist beers can be bought here though! | | kjc51478 (28), Cologne, Germany | | July 21, 2011 Grocery section in the basement floor of the large Galeria Kaufhof in Altstadt Cologne. Not really a true beer store - just a grocery store with a slightly better beer selection than most. Pretty much all of the standards are there - Kölsch and various Pilsners. However, they do have a good, albeit small, selection of smaller breweries from in and outside the region - including Andechs, Augustiner, Smauel Smith, and Fullers (which is unusual for Cologne). Plus they are one of the only retail locations where you can buy Freigeist Bierkultur stuff. So, the location has its value. |
