Bristol Brewing Company

We made a late afternoon stop here. Their website indicated they had the quadrupel available, not so. Instead I had pints of an ipa and the barleywine, both were good. The inside of the brewery was attractive but we went out on the patio to enjoy some nice Colorado Springs weather. A couple of dogs entertained while we soaked in the atmosphere. I hope to make it back some day.

This brewery is part of the Idlewild School renovation, which is something to behold. It's an old elementary school which has been turned into a food court/brewery/cocktail bar/brewery. You could really spend a whole day here, but you'd need to Uber home. Bristol gets bonus points for all of this even though their beer is average. The service was fast and friendly, they had about 10 beers on tap, no guest taps. They had about 6 different styles, so while the number of taps is limited, they do cover a lot. I had a flight; the beers ranged from bad to above average. Bristol is definitely worth a visit for its surroundings.

We came here on 13.7.2022. This brewery is located in an old school building. Some of the rooms like the gym and the restrooms are still authentic. Outside seating available. From the taproom you can see the brewhouse (Braukon !). Cool place! We had the IPA tapped with Nitro and C02. Quite good.

I love the locale in an old school. Really cool. There was even a wedding taking place when we got there. The beers were kind of hit or miss, but that's not unusual. The food service was SUPER slow and our order was wrong and cold, even after waiting an hour. That really killed the mood.

Reasonable prices and decent beers but the food were pretty bad. Really liked the pub though, being an old school.

First off let me say...Bristol is a must visit when in the CS area...or passing thru...for the venue alone if nothing else. It is an old grammar school with a style more architecturally like a high school. All of the old elementary wall paintings and murals have been left in place...along with much of the school furnishings...and some bathrooms that will certainly bring back memories! There’s a principal office, lockers, and other original elements. They have a great patio outside and a number of food options and some additional small businesses in the space serving the visitors. The place gets crowded and the service appears as though it can vary a lot. The beers themselves are average to slightly above average with a few that moderately standout. There were 11 beers during our visit. Next visit I’ll spend more time and sit on the patio drinking their beer with some of their food...I suspect that will make for an even better experience...and maybe an improved view of their beers.

A former colleague of mine brought me here, so we could have some brews, food, and catch up on old times. Interesting local that used to be an old school that is turned into a mini mini-mall. service was okay. food menu was somewhat limited but okay. Nothing super impressive. Beers were also serviceable. Not sure I would go out of my way for this.

The Bristol Pub has a bar in the middle of the room. Seats outside. Samplers are offered as well as food. Bicycles hanging in the corners. Established in Old Yellow School. Young and quick staff who did not seem to know much about the beer. Pretty noisy place because of a) many people b) bad acoustics. I counted 14 taps Could not see any bottles.

Stopped into the brewpub at the Ivy Wild school for a beer and some food. The ambiance was not bad, with a school theme throughout the building, in a modern, renovated space. The service was very attentive and friendly, and orders were received quite quickly. They had a good selection of draft beers to choose from, including their regular beers, and some seasonal rotations in the mix. I only tried a bowl of soup, but it was quite good. The value was pretty good for a brewpub, and it was worth the visit.

Nice, open restaurant area and cool bar. Located on the north side of the Ivywild School. The server was friendly, attentive, and knew the beers. Nice spread of house beers, with a couple special releases and some special bottles. No guest taps. The food is a good spread of burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers. The beers are pretty well priced, with flights, but the food is a bit high. This is a really cool place, and a nice place to hang out.
