jrmac (6), does not count - explanation | | March 25, 2008 This was a great place, but it has shut its doors. I figured it would shut down when the only customers left going in were restaurant workers late at night. Nothing against restaurant workers, but they can’t support a bar like this by themselves. A real shame it closed down. | naughtymac (1), Columbia, South Carolina does not count - explanation | | July 7, 2007 I really like this place!! It has it all!! 50 different taps that rotate out daily. I mean I’ve been there and watched the manager/ bartender change out 5 kegs in an hour.. So usually their typed up beer list changes with it but blowing so many kegs all the time it’s hard to keep up and it kinda reflects on the servers because they seem unsure a lot of time about what’s avalible..But if you really wanna know what’s good or new ask the bartenders.. They really seem to know whats goin on..
Food.. Well that’s pretty good but a few times they’ve been a little inconsistent..I know they just changed the menu recently and from what I understand they are gonna change it again.
Service.. the few times I’ve been lately seems to be o.k..Very personable but a few of them don’t even like beer so they can’t really tell you anything about beer..
Ambiance.. I love the fact that they try to do a lot of stuff from adding games to events like live team trivia as well as "meet the brewer" and ’Cigar and pint night" They seem to want to have more of an interactive place rather than a sports bar, but if you want sports they have that too..
Overall.. I’d say they hit the mark with good food and a really cool place to hang out and drink beer... | Fiona (8), Chapin, South Carolina does not count - explanation | | January 19, 2007 [ Updated January 27, 2008 ] NO LONGER IN BUSINESS | | slang (10), Columbia, South Carolina | | January 16, 2007 I’ve been going to CW’s for a while now, but recently something major happened on my last visit.... on the tap list I found Weyerbacher’s Merry Monks, SN’s Celebration, and several Foothill’s brews.... including the high grav. offerings. They also offer a few Abbey de Rocs’ in bottles along w/ Delirium Tremens! Fresh beer list printed when changes occur too. We’ve had excellent service there on the last three visits! BEST COLUMBIA HAS TO OFFER. |
