Located in a gentrifying neighborhood where posh coffee shops bumped up against boarded up houses. It’s not a large place but it’s in an old brick building which adds a certain charm to the place. They had nearly 20 taps of mostly craft somewhat local beer as well as a double-sided beer list. The pizza was solid and the service was attentive. It’s a good building block for the neighborhood.

(Visited 06/2010): Yellow Brick Pizza is a relatively new pizza joint in the Olde Town East section of downtown Columbus. It is located on Oak and 18th Street. Street parking is relatively easy to find in the area. The building is brick and has a nice look to it. The interior is relatively small with a short bar straight in and table seating everywhere else. TBP has 16 taps, the majority of which are craft beers. Some of the brewers include Buckeye, Columbus Brewing, Great Lakes, DFH, Founders and Stone. They have a couple import taps as well like La Chouffe. There are several bottled beers as well, again favoring microbrews. The available beers are on a handout that changes pretty regularly. Service on a weekday early evening was good for our group of 7. The server had a pretty good grasp of the beers available and styles. The pizza at Yellow Brick "create your own" style, plus they have several "specialty" pizzas. I had eaten not too long before my visit and only tried a tater tot appetizer which was really good. Everyone who got pizza enjoyed theirs. Overall this spot is another in the Mellow Mushroom and Dewey’s mold - upscale pizza and a good beer list. Worth visiting.

Great beer, great happy hour, and great pizza. Nice local neighborhood joint with fantastic beer selection- a mix micro staples like 60 minute IPA with interesting stuff you’ve never had before and some local gems. No Bud Light here!
