nice place with a much better beer selection than most ordinary places, i will have to go back and do a more thorough review as i was fast in and out, but the first impression was good. ordinary people, dj-record playing stand doing 80s music when I was there a saturday night. good place to combine beer with some action..

Great little gem this place, good selection of Danish Micro’s as well as some good foreign choices. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly offering samples. Very relaxing and ambient atmosphere! Overall a great place and worth checking out.

Cozy little bar in central Copenhagen with many regular and friendly customers. Large draught beer selection for such a small bar, mostly danish craft beers, some Belgian and Lithuanian too.
Staff is very friendly and service minded and had good knowledge of beer. Bar also boasts an impressive amount of well selected rums and whiskies of the rare kind. My preferred hangout in Copenhagen any day of the week

Small and modern pub with a few tables outside. Normally some Danish micros on draught but sometimes also foreigh beer. Small number of bottles. Fine selection of whiskies. Friendlly and quick staff who knows the essential details about the beer.

The Black Swan was just opening when I arrived at around 1500 on a Friday. It was my second attempt to visit – the first time, a few days earlier, we’d gone to the place next door, mistakenly believing that it was the Black Swan because they share the same address and neither advertises its name very prominently. Anyway, the Black Swan Beer Bar is the one on the corner of Fredericiagade, with arched windows on two sides, tables and chairs outside and green canopies.
It has a comfortable, local feel, at least during the day. It soon began to fill up - three men apparently on their way home from work, two young women, a few solitary older men nursing coffees with their newspapers. It’s light and airy (although smoking is allowed) and has yellow ochre walls decorated with odd paintings – some for sale – mainly of bizarre figures which might have been produced as self portraits by someone with severe body dysmorphia.
There was heavy music, perhaps chosen by the friendly long-haired barman. I gather that the bar often has live music at night – there are some clips on YouTube.
There wasn’t a huge selection of beer but the list chalked up on a blackboard behind the bar had plenty to choose from – three from Beer Here (Black Cat, Weed and Ammestout), two from Hancock (Pils and Black) and two from Dagmar (Brown Ale and Nyboder Ale). I had the Weed, described as a smoked wheat beer and “quite special”, which I thought it was – and, happily, nothing like a wheat beer at all.

Visited May 2010. Situated on a fairly quiet street not far from the harbour. Live music on.Reasonable selection of the less common Danish beers plus some cask and a good whiskey selection. Really friendly staff who know their stuff. The punters looked like seasoned drinkers. Like many Danish bars it gives the impression smoke is piped in for effect

Small but cozy place, bar/café during the day, mainly bar in the evening. Not the biggest selection of draught beers but some not so common ones. Friendly staff. Besides beers also a good selection of whisky. In walking distance from Østerport station
