| JanLaursen (30), Copenhagen, Denmark | | May 21, 2012 The previous ratings says it all: interesting setting, good service, rather small selection but some interesting stuff. The owner does quite a few tastings, based on changing themes (smoke, dark beers, Iceland etc) - I can recommend these. | | humlelala (10), , Denmark | | May 20, 2012 My favourite supplier of Swedish and Norwegian beer in Copenhagen. The bottle shop is located in a disused bomb shelter from the cold war, which incidentally provides ideal storage conditions for the beer on sale here. Limited opening hours but they work well for me. Selection is relatively small but focused on good beer from such breweries as Haandbryggeriet, Ölvisholt and Dugges. There’s also a small selection of Danish stuff such as Kissmeyer, Kølster, Det Lille Bryggeri, Black Rooster, Den Gale Brygger and HokNberg. Very passionate and serviceminded owner, who likes to listen about your taste and recommend different beers. Visitors are also usually given a sample of what’s on tap. Very good atmosphere even if it’s in a bunker with no cellular coverage, no chairs or central heating. Prices are a bit high but then again that’s because Scandinavian beer is generally quite pricey. | | jesperhammer (27), Copenhagen, Denmark | | March 23, 2012 Visited 21-MAR-2012.
Tasting of 6 Kølster beers. Knowledgable and inspiring owner.
Nice little selection of Nordic brews. Bought four and got a free bottle in the bag:-)
Will return for later tastings. | | LookMomNoHands (27), Copenhagen, Denmark | | March 2, 2012 Visited a Friday afternoon. As other reviewers have already pointed: It´s in an underground bunker, hard to find but nearby the Svanemøllen s-train station. Somewhat limited selection of beers: Only (good) Scandinavian beers, but the non-Danish ones is rather hard to find anywhere else. Very friendly and service minded owner, that offered a big sample as I arrived. Ambiance is rather difficult to rate: It´s a cold and dark place, but with a cozy atmosphere. Excellent service from the owner, as I was a bit short of cash - he gave me a good discount, so the money matched. They only accept cash. Rather expensive, will go there again due to the owners commitment and excellent service. | | Pinball (56), Copenhagen, Denmark | | October 9, 2010 Close to the svanemøllen station, but a little hard to find. They have a sign out, the bunker is 2m down the path, then to the left. Beware of the exceptionally restricted opening hours. Note that their webshop delivers all over Denmark. This beer shop always keep their beers at a beer friendly temperature (like 8-12 degrees) and dark. It’s an underground bunker turned into a beer cellar. They only have scandinavian beer, and only a small selection of brewers, but the brewers they have, they have a wide selection of brews. Good service, bring cash, credit cards not available. Some of the beers available here are not available any other place in Denmark as far as i know. You can order and pay in the webshop and pick up the packaged beers when the bunker is open. Rigtig god oplevelse. | | Skinnyviking (113), Copenhagen, Denmark | | February 13, 2010 Hard to find subterrainean shop. The place is diveded into 2 small sections. If you turn right you’ll get to the exhibited beers.
The 2 gentlemen who run the place speciaalise in Scandinavian beers. Currently they do not have many but on the other hand the beers they have is hard to find elsewhere in Denmark and all have a good quality.
The staff knows their beer and are very friendly and will be pleased to assist you.
Notice the exhibition of old beers between the 2 rooms.
Price level is rather high as purchase beers for Scandinavian micros are high. |
