A huge brown bar where smoking is allowed, hmmm doesn’t seem legal, and is a drawback for a non smoker. The first room contains a small bar, with only limited room for ordering, while the second room contains billiards, and both have seating. Lots of the decoration is kept in red: walls, cealing, and carpet, dark brown wooden panelling, bar, tables, and chairs, everything a bit worn. In the billiards room, you can smell the toilets. Service is average: you order a beer, you get a beer. The homepages is not updated, they do carry an assortment of craft beers, but only seldom anything new, and besides that you can get your Tuborg tick... 45 DKK for 40cl beer.

A nice old fashioned local brown bar in a residential neighbourhood. The beer selection at Cafe Viking was surprisingly good – there are just five taps, but with Mikkeller 10 and De Dolle Boskeun sitting alongside Refsvindinge AZ Ale No.16 and a couple of Tuborgs. In addition, there was a good selection of bottles, including a promotion on six American themed Coisbo beers.
There are a few corner bars in this street and, from the outside, Café Viking looks much the same as the others. Inside, it’s cosy and welcoming (albeit a little smoky), with cottage style wooden tables, each decorated with a small pot plant and illuminated by a pendant lamp. There are lace curtains on the bottom half of the windows and the walls are painted red. Alongside a couple of royal portraits there’s a large “last supper” painting depicting Marilyn Munroe and twelve assorted disciples including Frankenstein’s monster, Elvis, Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin and several film stars from Munroe’s era.
The service was friendly and the prices very reasonable.

Old style authentic danish boozer, with a big selection of bottled beers. Smoking allowed, no problem early in the day, later.... Good and attentive service, even if you goes here as a first timer.

Very nice cafe with a stamps shop as neighborgh (very few left). No interresting taps, but a huge bottle selection with a up to date "Beerbible" so you can see the apr. 170 bottle availeble. (apr. 10-15 were temporary not in stock, but that you could see in the book!) Many Mikkeller and Amager beers.

Quite a good deal of bottled beers and a few beers on tap. Nice selection at fair prices as the place is a bit off the beaten track. Tey definately have some beers that you woudl not expect them to have. Too bad that smoking is allowed. Billards in one of the rooms, therefore it can get quite noisy. Have not eaten there.

A strange place. On the outside it looks like the run-of-the-mill local pub, and it in fact is just that - but the beer selection is impressive. Both Danish and especially Belgian beers are abundant. The service is bad, since the bartenders seldomly know a single thing about the beers. The prices however are the cheapest in Copenhagen! I go there rather often because of the latter. A lot of smokers go there.

This is a rather typical Danish bar open from the morning serving the local and loyal costumers their normal macro Tuborg Carlsberg pils....but......they have a kick butt selection of Danish micros such as Mikkeller, Amager, Midtfyn, Stensbogaard, Refsvindinge, Brøckhouse and smaller macros such as Thisted and Hancock. Besides the typical but nice selection of Belgian beers as seen at other beer places they have some not so common ones like Biere du Corsaire. Also German, Swedish and French among other countries’ beers. Friendly staff and you do indeed get just the right glass with your beer! A very much indeed overlooked beer bar, which I will revisit as there are a few beers in their collection I haven’t tasted. The only down side of this place, well to me at least, is the fact that smoking is allowed. But a good different and interesting beer place. And they have some of the cheapest prices in town for speciality beers!
