| HenrikSoegaard (144), Randers, Denmark | | January 4, 2012 Visited feb 2011. Cosy place. Nice music. Not many beers op tap. Some bottle. Sorry to see it closed. | | Skinnyviking (113), Copenhagen, Denmark | | November 6, 2011 As far as I remember 8 beers on tap. I guess 50 beers in the fridges. Danish micros on tap bottled beers from various countries. The place used to have a nice selection in the celler but as the room has been changed so that you can sit there it is no longer the case. Not an exactly cosy place though. The two small rooms on the ground floor are however nice with various old furnyture. Good and variated music is played on the record player. Food is good, light and affordable. Staff frinedly although not alwas knows about the beers. | | LookMomNoHands (27), Copenhagen, Denmark | | September 14, 2011 Nice, very cosy, small place a few hundred meters from Nørreport station. Went there for brunch and a beer a Saturday noon. Not a big selection of bottles and only a few taps, but everything is from high quality. Classic rock music from vinyl (yee-har). Very "personal" interior in the café. Almost like a worn-down living room. Food is a basic cafe menu, but everything seems to be in a decent quality. | | SaintMatty (128), Uppsala, Sweden | | August 31, 2011 A very relaxing and welcoming bar/cafe with a good, but not massive, range of beer that tends to focus on quality rather than quantity. Some interesting artwork too. Well worth visiting, especially on Sunday mornings when many places are closed. | | Boudicca (205), London, England | | July 2, 2011 Plan B holds a special place in my heart as it was here that, many years ago, I tasted Eylenbosch Framboise from a keg brought up from the cellar across the road and so began my love of (good) fruit lambics.
On my most recent visit it was such a lovely day that we sat at one of the five small tables outside on the narrow pavement. We’d just ordered our drinks when Jacob – a member of the party that had discovered some of the few remaining kegs of Eylenbosch on a trip to Belgium and brought them to Denmark - arrived for a late morning coffee and brunch so we whiled away a couple of pleasant hours there chewing the fat.
Plan B is a double fronted place with the bar on the left just inside the door and a comfortable area with a sofa on the right. Up a few steep steps there’s an assortment of other tables and seating which makes good use of the limited space available and creates a comfortable and stylish atmosphere.
There’s always a good choice of beers on draft including, on this occasion, four from Beer Here: Black Cat, Tia Loca, Ra Urt and Fat Cat. There’s also an impressive number of bottles available.
(Last visited 23 May 2011). | | ClubGonzo (30), Bergen, Norway | | June 14, 2011 Nice little cafe that also has a good beer selection. That is: the selection is extremely good for a cafe, and not so good for a beer bar of some standard. About 6 taps with mostly Danish micros, and two fridges (one behind the bar and one in the public area) with what appeared to me as slightly random selection of beer. I also noticed that the prices were a bit weird; a 2005 vintage Old Ale of 9,5% ABV were priced nearly the same as a 3% ABV Berliner Weisse...all in all, the prices seemed to average around 45-55 DK for any bottle so of course the lesser known ones are not first picks. Service is OK, didn’t try the food, music was chilled out enough for a Sunday afternoon and the art on the walls are nearly worth a visit in and by itself. :-) Nice place all in all, will be going again. | | sax (10), California | | June 13, 2011 Nice little spot you wouldnt think would have a good beer selection. They don’t have a huge number of taps, but the beers they had were quite nice. The food was amazing, just real expensive. | | abemorsten (73), Randaberg, Norway | | May 30, 2011 Nice, slightly worn place with a fridge filled with german bottles and Danish microbrews on tap. Friendly service. | | deanso (103), the Hague, Netherlands | | April 10, 2011 Nice little place. 10 taps with mostly danish brews and 1 Samuel Adams. Interesting bottled beer selection including ommegang,. Music is a bit Wierd ;)
| | jrallen34 (207), Chicago, Illinois | | March 31, 2011 This place really isn’t a bar its more of a cafe that has good beer. Pretty cool inside very classic looking with hilarious paintings on the wall. They had a dj that played really weird music switching constantly from french lounge singers to 60’s rock...Bartender was very nice and offered good suggestions, they had 8 taps and two fridges of beer with probably 50 beers. My problem is that there is no beer menu so it made it very hard to decide what I wanted. The bartender gave me three beers, all good decent selections.
This is a place worth stopping by as they have some interesting stuff, but not a place to spend a couple hours. |
