Flying Saucer is the best place in Memphis for beer on tap. If I were rating this place just for the Memphis area, it would be in the 90s.

Stopped in here summer 2008 on a trip to Memphis - hit this one plus the Flying Saucer just off Beale. Pretty much the same experience between the two - excellent selection.

Stopped in for some brews and food in the beer desert that is Memphis. They probably every beer distributed in Memphis either on tap or in bottles. Selection is made of mostly imports, mass distributed craft brews, and some local micros. They had DFV, Victory, Yazoo, Ghost River, Flying Dog, and New Belgium beers on tap. Had a chicken cesar wrap which was average. Overall a pretty solid place to have a fe brews and you will have a hard time finding anything this good in Memphis.

Always a good selection of brews, usually a good deal ($2.75 for a pint) on either one particular beer, or on Mondays, most beers. The porch is nice and would be nicer if Germantown Pkwy wasn’t right beside it.

You know, I think this place may be a little overrated. Don’t get me wrong. They have lots of stuff to choose from but its all very commonly available and way too expensive. $11 for a pint of Ruination? Hell, I can buy 2 bombers for that. Glad I checked the place out but I doubt I will be going back. Overrated. When I say commonly available, I mean things that are availably at every liquor store from here to Nashville. Only thing I found that is pretty rare is some Old Peculier.

Wow! Finally a Cordova alternative to Fags & Hound! This place has a really good beer selection (I think 200+ drafts and bottles) with waitresses that will steer you in the right direction if you don’t really know much about a certain beer. Plus most of them are hotties. Food is pretty good too for standard bar food, I had the chicken nachos which were nacho-licious. I will definitely be back! Bud lite people please stay at Fags & Hound or Mulligans!

I hope cigars are fair game outside when the weather is nice. This place JUST opened the week I tried it out. The waitresses are timid and slow currently. I kinda felt bad because I frequent other Flying Saucers and know what it should be (Memphis, Nashville). Can’t be hard though since they just opened. It is significantly smaller than other Saucers with no "Beer Garden". It is unknown at this point whether they will have bands play or not as it seems the primary clientele is business people on lunch or just off of work. The night-time scene is as of now unknown as well. This place has a lot of potential and a good selection. Not everything on their menu is available yet and they are lacking in their advertised "stuff" as well (shirt sizes, hats, etc.). I must say it will rock when it really gets going because the chain is doing very well. I have high hopes and hope others make it the bar it should be. DON’T DRINK A DOMESTIC LIGHT BEER HERE or you are in the completely wrong bar.
