Very red inside, mostly male crowd, at least there was no football on (contrast with the Old Coffee House). The three brodies ales on cask were in good nick. Staff were fairly friendly. Worth a visit if in the area.

Classic old style english pub with a dark and interesting interior. Five casks from Brodies when I visited. About ten taps with not so exciting beers. Good service on a slow monday early afternoon. Worth a visit.

Traditional pub not too far from the heart of Covent Garden. Small, dark and still hard to find a seat, the Cross Keys offers three Brodie’s ales along with a guest (Windsor & Eton on my visit). A further fifth handpump was out of action. It’s not perfect - the beer was too warm for my taste and some craft keg wouldn’t go amiss - but it’s one of the few oases of sanity in the poseur-happy world of Covent Garden. I’ll be certain to return.

Visited Saturday as part of a crawl round Covent Garden and nearby on 16/8/14. It’s a bit dark inside but actually a nice proper pub with excellent value hot meals. 4 Brodies beers on, all good.

Yet another live rating Sat’19th April 2014. I think we’ve been here before with Ian a few years ago. A dark pub long narrow pub with every inch of wall space covered with pictures, stuffed fish on display and fairy lights around the mirror at the rear. Mmh.... a very dubious music selection with Starship reminding us that they ’built this city on rock and roll’. Beer choice is Brodies Citra, Bethnal Green, Kiwi and a Redemption and one other. Friendly enough place, busy down to earth boozer. I wouldn’t want to have to dust the clutter in here. Beers in good nick.

This place is worth visiting for the Brodies beers, but it’s a bit of a dingy place. It always seems so dark in the pub, particularly when it’s sunny outside. There are better places to go for beer, but it’s a good place to visit if your better half is shopping nearby and you need a refuge!

Actually a very good pub with flowers outside and full of pictures on the wall and dimed lights with music instruments hanging around. Service was a bit unfriendly, not having finished the last sip in the glass and they wanted to take them away ain’t finished yet! Prices Londonian like... Only two cask ales on, which was a shame. Overall a good atmosphere though and nicely set. Worth a visit if you strawl along.

Very low key, dimly lit place. Narrow bar with seating to the left. Nothing amazing selection wise but there seems to be a few solid choices for beer which won’t let you down. Was quiet when I went and the service was a bit slow but there was only one guy on so probably to be expected i guess. Not bad. Cool looking from the outside though so props for that

Visited 06/06/13 around 5.30pm. Dingey old boozer, owd men out front and inside. Fair bit of space though compared to many pubs in the area. Only 2 cask lines on during my stop, 3 turned round, 1 serving Brodies Mild, the other Robinsons Uncle Sam. Had feared the worst in terms of beer quality but to be fair it was a well kept pint of mild. Staff a little odd - foreign guy first day on the job I expect. Asked for a half and he poured it into a pint glass half full !!! Wierd ! Won’t be rushing back but with Brodies on cask (if they could be bothered to stock more than 1) this puts it above a lot of pubs in the beer desert that is Covent Garden. I really doubt that this pub has witnessed all of the beers listed above - owd mans pub, bitter, mild, something with hops perhaps ... sours and BA imperials - really ???!!!

Pokey Brodies outlet located not far from Covent Garden. 5 or so beers on cask. Redemption and 4 common beers from Brodies featured on my visit. The place attracts a pretty transient crowd. It doesn’t feel like the kind of place you’d want to spend an afternoon in. This area of town’s pretty awful for beer, so it’s one of the few acceptable venues in the neighborhood.
