Without a doubt the best pub in Croydon town centre, great beers, well kept, and served by friendly, quick staff. Great quiz on a Monday evening.

The Green Dragon is pseudo-rock bar located on Croydon High Street. It has 11 ales available at any one time: 9 cask (6 downstairs and 3 upstairs) and 2 gravi-cask from Hogs Back. On cask they always have a few Darkstar beers, the odd real cider and a variety of UK ales (Brewdog, Skinners, Jennings etc). In the fridge there are a few bottled ales as well as the usual industrial lagers and ciders. Food is cheap and cheerful, akin to that served in Wetherspoons. The atmosphere is great: a good mix of people, frequent live music, pool table, board games, book club and lots of pump clips on the wall. It’s a bar that’s worth a visit at any time of the day.
