MisterGrizz (8), , does not count - explanation | | December 22, 2011 One of the better Irish Pubs in town. Nice rotation of well known beers, cool pub atmosphere, better than average food and neat Irish bands if you are into that sort of thing. Not a bad place for a beer at all. Selection isn’t going to satisfy beer geeks like me very much, but overall a cool place. | | thirdeye11 (33), Dallas, Texas | | August 8, 2011 Nice Irish pub style atmosphere. The bands playing on the weekend tend to be a distraction for me though as I don’t like the style of music. It’s fitting I suppose for the venue though. No smoking inside is a huge plus, although it’s also illegal it’s never been allowed here.
Service is hit or miss. Sometimes excellent, sometimes quite lackluster.
Selection, for what this place is, is pretty good. They don’t come near the selection of the better beer bars in town, but they do pretty well at carrying all the German and English craft mainstays.
If you’re visiting from out of town, probably not worth a trip, but a nice place to visit if you’re in the area for good beer drinking. | | Cavie (80), Fort Worth, Texas | | July 10, 2011 Stopped in for a brief couple of pints a few weeks ago. It was in the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday so the place wasn’t very crowded. Seems like a pretty chill place. The bartender wasn’t too chatty but I didn’t much care. The tap list was mediocre but they did feature some solid Texas brews including Franconia. I liked their bottle list and even found something I hadn’t tried yet. Nice stop since it’s right off the tracks. | terrus (4), Texas does not count - explanation | | May 3, 2011 The atmosphere was amazing; it was almost like walking into an actual pub, except for the high noise before the band. They do live music every weekend that is pretty good if you want to listen but if you go to talk it can be a bit loud. The service came with a smile even though both the waitress and bartender looked a bit overwhelmed. They have a large selection of craft beers and a good set on tap with about three of the taps being on rotation. The food is hearty and tastes good which isn’t easy with some of their dishes. Everything seems perfectly priced for what you get and some actually seems a little under priced. If you are wanting a nice quiet place to relax on the weekends I’d say go somewhere else but if you want good food, good beer and good company this would be a place to try. | | HalfCockedJack (11), | | February 27, 2011 Went there for my first time today and had breakfast. It was great. They were showing a live (Ireland v. Scotland, Ireland won, natch!) rugby match. No cover, either! Great beer selection, I had Real Ale’s Phoenix and Left Hand’s Fade to Black Smoked Baltic Porter. Both were fantastic beers! Had a sausage breakfast sandwich, I can rate it highly as well. The crowd was boisterous, as only rugby fans can be, and the staff were knowledgeable, capable, and professional. Highly recommended! | Ross_Hernandez (2), does not count - explanation | | January 10, 2011 Have frequented trinity hall several times.. Both times after training.. The bar staff was ok, until a co-worker was noticed by the owner and everything changed after that. We got exceptional service then after.. Food is quite good and the selection of Beers and Liquor is exceptional.. Enjoy... | | legion242 (101), Richardson, Texas | | November 27, 2010 Very, very nice looking inside. Haven’t been in years, but I remember the Publican being a not so nice man. | FourBees (2), Texas does not count - explanation | | August 1, 2010 If they could just get it to pour rain and generally be miserable outside, Trinity Hall would be a dead-on authentic Irish pub. You can even get there easily via public transport, which is a good thing after working your way through the beer and whiskey (and whisky) menus.
Food is what pub food should be - tasty and lots of it. It’s not gourmet, nor should it be.
It’s a nice change from all the "Fox and Hounds" pubs that have 87 big screen TVs and four pulls of Bud Light... | | RaginCajun (15), Dallas, Texas | | February 15, 2010 This is a great place to catch a beer and some good Irish-American food. Their draft selection isn’t the best, but they have several top notch beers on tap. The food is very good as well. I’d definitely recommend this place. The only bad part is the severe lack of parking, which plagues the Mockingbird Station area. I guess they only wanted to cater to people on trains, and screw everyone who drives a car. | ArnieDog (4), Texas does not count - explanation | | December 26, 2009 This is the closest pub to Ireland you will find. Great bottle and draft selection of brew that is hard to find. Good food, very knowledgable staff, and fun environment for friends and family alike. |
